How to Go Viral On Quora and Have Your Answers Seen by Hundreds of Thousands of People!

Posting answers on quora can be extremely rewarding and I've to come into some really cool knowledge on how you can answer the right questions to get an insane amount of views. Since doing this I have been seeing my answers go from 20-100 views to 10,000-40,000, so, it really does work and it makes a massive difference

Quora is about good, quality content. Writing is a bit different than youtube and it shows once you really start sharing knowledge.

Straight and easy to understand. Thanks for the advice. Can I ask - isn't it dangerous to answer questions that have been around for a while? If there is 100+ answers, will your answer be seen at all (even if the answer is receiving 20k views a week)? Won't it just be buried?

Thank you! not necessarily because if an answer has lots of answers it doesn't really matter, what matters is the views. If an answer is getting hundreds of thousands of views then your answer will be seen.

Noam Levenson, one could also look at it in terms of simple mathematical probability. Say if question (qA) has 10 weekly views (WVs)and 1 answer, the chance of that answer being seen is 1/1=100%. Similarly, if qB has 10 WVs and 2 answers, the chance of an answer being seen is 1/2=50%. So if the weekly views are the same or comparable for two questions, I would choose the one with significantly fewer answers and increase the odds of my answer being seen.

Wellness for all, I don't think probability is the best way to look at this as: 1) Questions with more engagement will probably be rewarded by being recommended to more people and therefore get more views. 2) People can view multiple answers to one question - it's not either/or. 3) There are weighting factors which give some answers more of a chance of being seen than others, such as number of up votes. I guess posting on the most popular the day of the week at the most popular time could also be helpful and maybe trying to mimic the phrasing or tone of the most highly up voted answers could be useful too. @Shimmy Morris have you tried considering any of the factors mentioned above in 3? What impact on sales has Quora had for you?

That is fair. All exposure is good exposure for us. Traffic to our website is nice and all but sales is what makes it worth it. And exposure on many platform will help people realise you understand what your talking about and be willing to invest in you.

That was interesting but the ads manager doesn't seem to exist anymore. I write on Quora as a hobby. My lowest answer has 30 views and my top has 1.2 million. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why some bomb and others fly. I find if I go into 'edit topics' I can add headings that many other people should see. But that's hit and miss as well. I write about Movies under my name - Mario Martini.

I tried this and there was an initial increase on day one nothing like your figures It was in the hundreds. Then just the normal traffic the following days. Not sure how you managed it but I did not get the large numbers you mentioned. Perhaps it works for the digital marketing guys. I put a link to click using a url shortener but the takeup was pretty low.

Not every question will hit hard... You've got to keep going with the method as it increases the chances to get a popular

I appreciate that lots.of questions are needed however I am not sure of the commercial viability as I have a cuttly link to measure how many prople click the links and it is low. Much lower than Twitter. I would be interested to see how commercial it is. I do thank you for sharing the method as it is better than just answering willy nilly but the jury is out. I am coming to the conclusion that paid traffic is the only way forward unless in a young persons niche.
