Did you seal the gold foil with that gloss prior to using acrylic paint? I can’t find the gloss on your description

Yes, it’s best to apply sealer after you apply the gold leafing. I use gamvar and Liquitex

@@joniyoungart when you say sealer, are you referring to a varnish? I usually use liquitex gloss varnish that I wipe on, but this is my first textured piece as well as gold foil. Thought I’d try liquitex spray varnish? Do I need to use the other one just on the gold foil as well?
