It was always confusing for me why a function sometimes cuts the horizontal asymptote. You explained in simple terms that its just because a horizontal asymptote does not restrict the domain. That on its own has just helped me alot to sketch any rational function. I appreciate this video.

A nice big point 3:03 Explain here that it is possible to cross a horizontal asymptote in some places on the graph. It serves as a do not cross boundary line in most cases, but not all, as we shall soon see. Do that immediately, as the point is hitting the graph.

yes horizontal asymptote never restricts the range, it only serves as a point where you can they approach and converge. the graph however will approach but never touch the horizontal asymptote

To find the x-intercept, you can also make the numerator equal to 0. If you do that you will get the correct x-intercept without doing much work and dealing with more stuff.

Just a tip for telling the difference between a Hole and a Vertical Asymptote: Simplify the equation down to its simplest form, any invalid values of x in this new equation are asymptotes of the old one, while invalid values of x that are just in the original and not the simplified ones are just holes.

About y-intercepts my teacher taught me that when f(x) is 0 1 is it’s denominator so if you cross multiply it really is just 0=numerator
