if you want, you could go down too. but the point is already at the bottom and will be harder to graph a straight accurate line you go up two and it's correct that way because if you take the point you just made and go down two then you end up back where you started :) it's interchangeable if that makes any sense. basically you said "if it's -2 why does the line go in the up direction instead of just down?"

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)... meaning, find any 2 points on the graph, subtract the second y-value from the first y-value, then divide by the 1st x-value subtracted from 2nd x-value... also luv the way u asked, really polite:)
