I am a newbie to using sonar, down scan, and side scan electronics. We recently moved to the Lake Tillery area of NC and I feel overwhelmed trying to locate fish. I am using Navionics to try to identify potential locations but there are so many points, drops, humps to choose from. I do like and follow your videos. You do a great job of explaining what you are doing! Thanks

Love your videos Jonny. I just got my Helix 7 and used it for the first time. Set it up like in your great instructional vids. For this specific topic, do you have any advice for a kayak fisher like myself? I fish mostly ponds and some lakes in the northeast. I started off my day on the pond yesterday just pedaling along the shore to try and graph some areas. I didn't seem to pick up much but maybe there is a better method for kayakers. Thanks again.

How are you highlighting the creek channel and humps? Only thing I can do with navionics is get the light blue highlighted area.

Haha! NUMBER FIIIVE, DITCHES...(again with a 'D'). I'm loving your videos, brother. Great information for me, I'm just getting into fish finders, I don't know what I am doing (kayak fishing in the North East) . I have a question for you and I'm sure you may have answered it in one of your previous videos. When you Criss-Cross over a spot three four or five times, can that affect the fishing? I'm more interested if fish are able to pick up being pinged, are they spooked by the SONAR?

You make some great instructional video's but what about people fishing on natural lakes that don't have a creek channel? Also what about shallow natural lakes that have less than 20' of water?

I’ll be fishing in Wisconsin for a month this summer to make videos on natural lakes. I don’t have any within 10 hours my area, so I’m not able to make content about them. I grew up in Wisconsin and have a ton of experience on natural lakes so stay tuned!

Awesome graphics. The visuals really make it easier to understand your focus area and boat positioning. That said, lose the cheezy voice over for each segment. :) Altho "ditches with a D was hilarious."

Love everything about your videos except one thing. Can you make your boat smaller? If that were to scale, your boat would be about 300’ long. It throws me off. LOL. Great job other than that. Keep up the good work.

Any comments about graphing shallow lakes. 10ft and less? Do you think it spooks the fish to graph over them?
