I am so happy to have found this channel. It’s so much easier when I can see what shapes your mouth is making. I’m very challenged by the dl, Ndl, ng, hl, pretty much any sound that has 2 consonants coming together. In the Ng sounds, is the N silent. I can’t seem to tell?
@ZuluLessonswithThando Жыл бұрын
I see what you problem is. The Ng, there is only one sound, if I said the N is silent or I said the 'n' is soft, it would be so misleading and would confuse you when saying other words. And some of the sounds that you struggle with, the Dl, for example, those are the most difficult sounds to learn. Send me an email. Let's see what I can do to help you.

Zulu is a language that was created by whites from Khumalo-Nguni spoken in kwaNongoma (Zululand Royal Town where the King Lives and where Ndwandwes are from - what you call Ndwandwe and Khalanga whose King was Zwide KALANGA. That is why we say Khuluma and amaKhulu are people of the Khumalo clan and princes or rulers of Khumalo clan are called Zwane. That is why Cebekhulu which means Ingwekhulu or macingwane is called Zwane in South Africa and Zimbabwe. I say created because they standardised Nguni language to one common language when we all had dialects and words that can only be understood by people of one tribe. Different dialects within Nguni then exists example: Nkomo (Khumalo), Nomo (KwaCele), Khomo (Ntombela), Gombe (KwaLanga), Ngobe or Ncube (Ncubeni or Mthombeni or Kekane or Cebekhulu Ndebele) or Nyomo (amaChunu), Khoi (Moloi) etc. Thus word is also Gumbi etc. Of the Ndwandwe. Ndawonde is also Ndwandwe said different by isigodi esihlukile. All these words above mean COW and to see how much we do not know anything why is the Sotho word for cow (Khoi) phonetically identical to the english COW and then Afrikaans (koei)? So, Zulu sounds like Zimbabwean Ndebele because both come from the Khumalo clan. AmaBoa or bula-bula are Mvula or Pula or Mbango or Bhengu/Ncube as well. And amaBelesa = Pai = Mbayi or Kimbali or Mbali (amaNambya or Valambya or Gabela or Mkhabela or Gambia or Namibia). Ukubelesa (to talk to AmaNambya aseZimbabwe), we use this to say you were talking a lot, becoming a nuisance = ukubelesela. And so on and so forth. AmaBelesa oMageza or Zagwe or Zwane = Mthaniya = Ntwane = Azania, this is what we called ourselves since antequity.
