That is so beautiful about the plant. There are often orchids left behind discounted at my local walmart. They often get thrown away. I bought one before it got thrown away, it had no flowers. Its been a few months and its flowering just now. It makes me so happy. 🌱

The second week under strict confinement, I learnt from a telephone call that my partner passed away at 2.000 kms far away. I switched off from everything and everyone except from my cat and plants. My cat (not the one in my profile) has turned out an amazing supportive friend. Not sure how to put it in words but I’m under the impression that we communicate each other mind to mind. We don’t use much sound words. We sit down in silence together. He likes to lead the walking meditation, teaching me how to mark the territory. If I stop, he stops too and turn round his head toward me awaiting for me to move...Anyway, thank you for this dharma talk. Plum Village has been very generous through all confinement. Online meditations was a brilliant way of practice in togetherness. Silence creates a bond amongst practitioners.

Thank you Sister D, for talking about what is happening in our world in relation with the coronavirus, the death of a human being in horrible and abusive conditions, and the manifestations. Your sharing about this issues means a great class in so many ways. I'll mention one of them; when same body never has been in a monastery, that person use to think that the community in such places is waisting time, some body told me that she thinks that the Brothers and Sisters are just sitting, and she said no make a sense. But is beautiful to see how much the community works in order to help people around the world. I know that no body in the monastery is watching TV, or conected to the internet, but you are conscious on what is going on in our world society, because all of you are part of the society, you are not blind about what is happening. Lotus for you Buddha to be. Evangelina Cortes.

Thank you Thay for this valuable noble truth and all of teaching. I just lost my beloved father from this pandemic in August 9,2021. The suffering keep coming back to my mind from time to time. Your teaching is really guiding me out of this labyrinth. I fear no more of death from the phrase that we have our mother earth to take care us all the time and we return to our mother earth from the time we no longer live our life in this world. Namo Buddhaya.

I appreciated your talk. I have a hard time with grief and this helped me. My close family; my mom, my grandmother, and grandfather have all passed away. They were the people I depended on to go to for emotional and life circumstances. I am 38 years old. My father and I never had a close relationship but he still walks this Earth. I will take your words to heart and appreciate the beauty in the people that are here and now.

This is the first video I have seen of her teaching. Very educative. I love his videos. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.
