I have such a passion for cooking and baking of all my Breads, buns etc. I have been dealing with an aggressive Breast Cancer and 3+yrs of treatment and surgeries, but am now in Remission!! Yay, I have always loved my being able to create Good food for my family which has dwindled down to only my youngest 23 yr. old son still at home LOL ..Damn I wish he would go haha , but he says Not going to happen Ha, My point in sharing this is that I am truly Passionate about being able to keep on Making wonderful Meals for him each day and you inspire me so much. I was Born On Earth Day and am an outdoor nature lady, So I BBQ all summer long on my Weber charcoal Grill ha, It works fine for me and the food is good. You have helped me so much for new creative recipes, I Love you Guys ! Keep on Cookin On!

I see right now that I'm going to ask ol' Santa for a spit for Christmas. There's no sense in the Pitt Boys having all the fun or all the great food. Y'all are loved in Mobile Alabama more than you'll ever know. I watch your videos as much as I can and especially when I found out I had cancer 3 years ago. Y'all help me stay sane and keep my mind busy and then beat this mess. I LOVE YOU BOYS SO MUCH. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME DEAL WITH MY CANCER AND STAYING SANE

@NigelGriff I'm not an expert, but I have a theory about this: the solvent properties in the uncooked alcohol concentrate and distribute the essence of lime and cilantro more effectively, shortening the marinading time for a whole bird. It may also help soften and tenderize the meat as well. Plus the alcohol might have something to do with getting the meat up to temp, because it stokes the fire as it drips off.
Sobieski vodka. From Poland of course :D Polish vodka is the best! P.S. Yes, I'm from Poland!

@BooGooNFlowoo4Evoo Good points, the alcohol will most likley act as a solvent, as its used for that very reason in other recipe's, for the citranello atleast. I doubt you could get the flavors from lime juice anymore than you already have. As for stoking the fire i think the effects of a drop of alcohol (which burns at a much lower temp than carbon) would be negligible on the heat. Alcohol may also help the flavors penetrate the meat, but its just speculation.
