I can't believe you cut the Papilion as you did, they need very little grooming, their hair & ears is what stands out, this is why I groom my Paps myself, this little dog was so afraid, so many errors you made on this video, you need to read more about Paps before doing another

Joyfully_Joy AGREED!!! I don’t think she pays any attention to comments though; I’ve read so many of us saying the same thing, yet no replies to those comments at all. The poor dog was super stressed out as well; this is why I groom my Pap as well!! I’d feel horrible if she went to someone like this who did nothing to help calm her down. (That’s without mentioning her papillon hair being cut away!).

jesus... why would you cut all the papillon off of her. Gentle on the ears lady. The poor baby looks traumatised. Isn't the whole point of being a dog groomer that you love dogs? You barely called her by name and didn't comfort her at all. My pap would have gone insane.

I have a papillon and showed one for years. One coated dog. I keep present one in "show coat"- never clipped except shaping paws into "hare feet", tidy up back legs, never touching coulottes or ears. Easily groomed dog breed. Natural coat. Brush and comb every day. Brush teeth. Clean ears. Not a really high maintenance groomed dog. Thanks for not cutting the fringes.

@@InsanelyGhostly I think she treated it worse than a hairy Chihuahua! More than a matted dog which is not possible to keep any butt fluff on! I can't think of a worse grooming! She should just shave it all off next time, takes even less time! This poor little dog! I own a beautiful LONG coated Papillon, who actually looks like one.

I was trained as a groomer in the 70's. Don't remember butchering a breed like you've just done. Papillons are one of the few breeds that DON'T REQUIRE CUTTING!!! You cut off the breeches. That's what makes a Papillon! I have a hard time watching you butcher this poor little dog. Ever heard of breed specific grooming?

Kittie Deemer I would have to absolutely agree with you! She mentioned that this dog is brought to her every month - which explains why this poor little Papillon does not have MANY of the characteristics of a Pap! The tail is WAY too short....it is supposed to be looped up on top of their bodies, but this poor puppies tail would not be long enough to “loop” or show off the bushy tails most Paps have. And you’re so dead on with the “butcher” job statement. The legs, underbelly, almost shaved sanitation area....thank God she leaves the ears alone though! I can’t stand watching this puppy shake the entire time as well!! This is partly why I will not bring my Papillon to a groomer and prefer to do her myself - if you’re going to be a groomer, I would think one of the FIRST things you need to do is make the dog feel at ease! Make her comfortable and not scared...ignoring her shaking uncontrollably is disgusting!! I had a hard time watching this. Ugh. I would guess your “70’s training” is a long-lost art form now, that’s too bad!!

Love it reminds me of my little guy. He was a rescue so not sure what he is made of, but people stop me all the time when I have him asking if he is a papillon. Great job and I think I will be ordering those scissors the next time I get paid. :)

That's actually not rash? If she were to make it smaller someone could easily cover it up and pass it off as their own content. It happens all the time on KZbin. What you're seeing is called a "watermark" and is there to claim ownership over the video. It isn't in the way of anyone's viewing.

I groom my papillon from home. Is it ok that I don't do a sanitary trim? She rarely ever gets her back fringe dirty and I comb through everywhere, so I never have any matting problems

I completely understand why some people want their Pappy to have short hair and not be a mop on legs like they are in the dog shows. It is really common to do this to Yorkies as well. When their hair is much shorter they are easier to maintain & handle. I like trimming super long haired dogs short is becoming more common. She is not abusing the dog the dog is licking her at the end and has been going there a long time. Some people like their Paps to have long hair some don’t.

Love to watch your videos. I have a cocker that I groom myself but it is so hard in my back. Would love to see some more cockers. And do you do a cocker crown? The topknot? I have the hardest time getting it to lay flat. My Zoey has some cowlicks on her head and a benign growth that I try to hide with some hair. So I don’t like to shave it all off on her head. Thanks!

as soon as allowed by the groomer in your area, call and ask. Make sure vaccinations are good to go, at the least, dhpp, bordetella, and rabies are in my opinion.
