I appreciate the video. There’s some good information here and I’m not a licensed or graduated expert on Moss, but I have been growing Moss lawns for a while now and this video is extremely hit or miss but the biggest thing that I see all the time is people saying that you need acidic soil. Moss doesn’t have roots so the soil doesn’t matter at all. Moss can grow on pretty pretty much anything as long as it doesn’t move Just look outside, you’ll see moss growing on just about anything rocks, shingles, wood dirt concrete, steel aluminum car, tires, charcoal Grills hoses, trees, windows, windowsills, asphalt, blacktop, paper bags,

Most interesting. Do you have any suggestion for some species capable of growing in full sun and able to stay green with just a mist sprayed on them ?

any idea what I can apply to my moss lawn to kill the seasonal weeds that won't kill the moss?

I’ve been working on Moss lawns for a few years now I’m not a graduated expert by any means but what I do is get white sheets and just lay them on the ground for three or four days at a time I try to keep them cool by watering them what this does is Kill the weeds that are there because the weeds will probably require more sunlight than the moss but the moss still requires sunlight so you can’t leave them for too long I definitely wouldn’t do more than three days at a time. It won’t get rid of all the weeds, but it will help a lot Also, I have a 80% shade screen like what you see on fences or tennis courts I have about 4 feet off the ground and I leave it up winter till August that helps by discouraging weeds to grow but allows enough air and light and moisture to get through so that the moss doesn’t die off it will just go dormant it all slow down the moss Or you can even go the other route if you can prevent water from hitting the area where the weeds are growing and let it dry and bake in the sun. The moss will go completely dormant, and the weeds will die out. It it can be a little more risky, depending on certain conditions, and it will probably take longer, and it will look terrible in the meantime.
