How to Grow Adenium / Desert Rose from Seeds (With Update Video)

Daizz's tips:-
1. Mix one part Fine sand and one part coco peat or perlite. Add water slowly to the mixture until it is evenly moist but not soggy. Fill the pot or tray with soil, tamping the media down slightly until it is 1 inch below the tray's top.
2. Spread the desert rose seeds over the surface of the media in the tray. Space the individual seeds 1 to 2 inches apart. Press the seeds down gently to ensure full contact with the soil's surface.
3. Sprinkle a fine layer of soil over the top of the seeds, covering them completely. Lightly mist the soil's surface with water from a spray bottle. Cover the tray with a clear plastic cover.
4. keep the pot in indirect sunlight
5. Remove the cover once per day, and wipe away any condensation from its interior with a paper towel or cloth. Lightly mist over the tray when the top layer of soil begins to dry. Keep the media moist, but never soggy.

Hi, I have seen your videos and like them for their clarity (though you should do it more often). Have seen you previously use echeverias among other succulents. I am trying to build a small succulent garden (in Delhi) and would like to know whether the succulent varieties like echeveria, graptopetalum senecio mandraliscae etc.can grow and survive successfully in the Delhi environment in the long run. Also where should one get them from, could you please suggest a place too (not many in my local nurseries).

I bought a potting soil bag and it doesn’t specify for what type of plants it is for but it says it’s good for indoor and outdoor plants. I read the ingredients and it has a lot but I noticed it includes coco peat. I couldn’t find fine sand in the gardening store. Is this soil good for it? I use it for my Aloe Vera plant and it is healthy and big.

during summers keep the seedlings in partial shade but during winters keep ur seedlings in full sun ..:) at this time u can transplant the seedlings in pots ...i normally transplant 4-5 seedlings in 8 inch diameter pots for their healthy growth..:)

I very recently got the craze for adeniums and bought 20 seeds from Amazon. I tried germinating them but failed completely. I pre-soaked the seeds for just half an hour, could that be the reason? Dorothy Nem adenium seeds can be easily grown in summers ..but in delhi.. temp is decreasing day by day as winter is just few days away...u can sow the seeds like i have sown in the video as their is no benefit in saving/storing the seeds for the next season as they are good for only 3-5 months...always buy fresh seeds for better germination rate ...tc good luck

Dorothy Nem online seeds have no guarantee...soaking them in water for few mins does not do any harm ....ebay n amazon sells old seeds ..which do not germinate or either have poor germination rate
