They don’t grow bigger than the pot you put them in too. We call them dwarf Apple trees. Same goes for other plants.

It took more than two months for my seeds to break the dormancy period and sprout. I used the same method and had them in the vegetable crisper at the bottom of the fridge. I cant freaking wait to plant them in the ground once they get big enough in the little pots I have for them.

When I saw this video I hurried get Apple seed and start doing this process, not an hour since I put the seeds in a bottle and put it on the reef when I check it again I saw that the seeds breaks and a little green thing coming out, I'm very excited and wait until the next day to see what will happen to the seeds,

Thanks for the video. I've managed to grow a bunch of apple tree saplings by popping some seeds in some potting soil, but is it true that they will grow into crab apples, not the delicious apples I hate to get the seeds.
@myrinsk4 жыл бұрын
DIY Astronomy they won’t grow into crapapples BUT the WILL NOT be the original apple but they will still be delicious ( you have to plant two for them to fruit )
@Candeekissez4 жыл бұрын
Will the apples from these seeds be as delicious as the original apples? Doesn't an apple seed have to go through a winter in order to be a good fruit tree? TY

Do you plant it with the sprout side up or down? I couldn't tell.
@naomishelton15655 жыл бұрын
Very clear and concise instructions. But what does the little plant need in the way of light and temperature and water and/or food? Can it grow to a fairly large side in a bright east window? Then what about planting it outside? How, when, etc.?

+Rich Bones to prevent the seed from overheating. A lot more heat builds up within the bag when exposed to sunlight.

great video. I love to plant from what I eat. it's more economical and you can't get seed more fresher than taking it out of the fruits. I have strawberries, mango-pineapple. they are delicious. Do they lose their leaves in the winter and then regrow new leaves? I was given a couple of apple seedlings last July 2017 (only about 2 inches tall with maybe 2 to 3 leaves) each in their separate pots. Eventually, the leaves of both plants dried-up, turned brown, and fell off. It took the 2nd plant longer to lose it's leaves and yet it's starting to grow new leaves from the top of the stem. However, the 1st plant loss all it's leaves but is still nothing but a stem. Is this normal for an apple plant? Also, is this normal for a persimmon plant? I had my persimmon growing about 6 inches tall with large leaves around 2-3" in diameter but the leaves turned brown and fell off just like what a large persimmon tree would do. This is why i asked if this was normal for an apple plant as well.

instead of putting the zip lock bag in a dark place to avoid heat can you place it into your refrigerator?

Hi, can you say what temperature at the time the seed you prepare for germination?, i hear someone they place seed in refrigerator for couple of weeks, do you find it's necessary ?
@DIYHomeandGarden7 жыл бұрын
Room temperature is fine. The ones that are placed in the refrigerator are the species that drop their seeds in the fall rather than spring.
