I get better results with a small oscillating fan on low, it gently shakes the plants 24/7.

A garden is not a fast food restaurant, it takes time, an it feeds the soul. I lived in a forest for years, now in the mountains completely off grid, and I love this kind of projects. So far we have herbs and leafy greens to eat already, but a lot on the way. Different pumpkins, zuccini, different melons, date palms, bellpepers, beans, dragon fruits, broccoli, peaches, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, olive and almond if I "reactivate" the old trees on the farm,... Rosemary growing wild everywhere. Prickly pear cacti. Most from sowing bad fruits or regrowing scraps. Now hopefully added pineapple to the bunch, and will try bananas soon, and several others that will take years. A paradise isn't built in a day. Sadly it takes society less than a day to destroy one, hence why I left their hell to "build" our natural, living, life sustaining paradise - a big garden full of colour and fruit, where nature rules and I only serve her. It was literally FREEDOM or DEATH for me, and Life is so full of inviting wonders that it would take an army to stop me from living free. They tried (with police brutality and made up "law" and other lies, even murdering one of my wolf brothers just to hurt and scare me as I built a criminal case against corrupt police and politicians), and they tried hard, to subdue me, exploit me, enslave me, indoctrinate me, threaten me, make me obey and comply... While I literally don't harm a fly. But that's a different story from and for a different time and place. I'm a free man, in a pack of freed wolves and dogs, on my "own" mountain away from the insanity of "normal" "humanity", and I'm regrowing a pineapple now, thanks for teaching me 😄

I’ve got one that landed perfectly in the centre of one of my empty planters. I’m currently living in Hell’s Buttcrack, Arizona, so I’m pretty happy that it fell in an area that gets indirect sunlight most of the day, direct sunlight very briefly, and shade all in variable amounts throughout the day and year. I decided to just let it be and give it water. We’ll see what happens, but if all goes well, I shall name it “Lucky” and it will be my friend-tree.

looks like most of the comments on here are at least 4 yrs old but I hope you can answer a question regarding the potting soil you used. It looks like it has Perlite in it, is that correct? Or did you use soil that is specific to citrus fruit? I got lemons that already had seeds sprouted in them and need to get them in soil but was just curious about the soil you used. Thank you!

Thanks for the info. I currently have 3 Date Palms growing. They each have the first long green leaf. How big will these get? I have them under grow lights now, plan on moving them outside with natural light.

This is very helpful! I have one growing indoors still since it hasn't been warm enough outside yet with a flower in full bloom with several coming behind it. I have had it outside on warmer days recently, but it hasn't been warm enough since the flower opened up fully. I will do both methods to ensure I get my first pepper from the plant 😀

appreciate the video. I wanted to try planting a maple seed from my yard and without doing any research or knowing anything about it I grabbed one, took it out of the little helicopter sheath and stuck it in some soil in a pot. Watered it every day and about a week later I had a seedling. I even kept the pot in my basement without any natural light. It has now been about 3 weeks and I have a 4 inch tall seedling with a few sets of leaves. I moved the pot outside about a week ago. I didn't know that you only had to stratify the seeds that fell in the fall, so thank you.

People will pay good money for a maple sapling... but I got a big ol maple hanging over most of my yard and maple seedlings pop up anywhere there's a bit of bare dirt. Might try and get some deliberately going in pots and sell them on for a couple bucks, or even just give them away. Its a really nice tree, and there's just something very satisfying about seeing a tree get growing and establish itself.
