Really a beautiful and tuff plant. Bought 2 end of summer sale. One was lighter faded green leaves. The other good shape. Potted into very large pots. I am zone 8. We had prolonged below freezing this past winter was able to protect and the plants are now pool side and looking beautiful. Hummers and butterflies love the blooms.

Imagine my surprise hearing it doesn’t grow in alkaline soils. My garden is ~pH8 and all my Tecoma’s including ‘‘this one”are thriving as they are native to the Southwest USA which is known for highly alkaline soils.

Sir regarding this plant I have some doubts The same plant I have When I bought it looks like fire on flowers Slowly it disappeared Now U made it clear the reason for this Now I know my mistake Secondly is there any dwarf variety in this plant ? Or is it a shrub My plant looks like these two it's not a climber since it's not climbing but only short and bushy It's 1 1/2yr old pl guide me Thank U sir
