So glad to come across you! I transferred my dracaena into leca but before putting in LECA I first put in water with nutrients. Unfortunately the bottom was rotted and never rooted. The stem was too long and I decided to cut it much shorter. Put it back in water with nutrients and hopefully these survive. Thank you for showing the before and after. Most do not do that and I always wonder if it ever worked. Happy planting! 🪴🌱

This plant doesn't like a lot of water. It will grow very well and give you roots if you'll put it in well drained soil. It needs watering onse per 1-2 weeks depending on the season and the weather

I would love a breakdown of how much that cost to setup? look like the initiail setup might cost a bit, but over time? and how do you know if your getting enough light?
@thegreenearth5 ай бұрын
initially it will cost you for the clay pebbles, but that can be use forever. for the light, I just experimenting it and I don’t use any kind of meter to test if plant are getting enough light. I just observe and see how my plants doing, if its growing well or not. I normally use barrina grow light for most of my plants and they are doing well.

That's what I came here to find out! So far, no one I've found yet tells anything about the original tree once you cut things off of it. I wanted to know if it will regrow some shoots.

I’m growing all of my plants in clay pebbles for good indoor. But if youre planning to grow them outdoor you can plant in the soil to.

Quick question...is there a reason you cut some of the leaves?
@vienna8448 ай бұрын
Why are you cutting the leaves back? What are you expect to happen with the leaves? Will they grow two pointy leaves?
@rndlh19966 ай бұрын
I believe it allows the plant to become more dense and bushy just like when you cut back and prune a pothos because the energy of the plant doesn’t grow to those cut leaves but to new growth. But I could be mistaken. 🤷🏽♀️
@christiang.5024Ай бұрын
@@rndlh1996 exactly, energy directed to new growth, rather than keeping those leaves alive. :)

@viktorie__3 ай бұрын
Maybe that’s why- i heard that you should keep the water and just add some when it evaporates but don’t change the whole water if that makes sense :) It apparently creates its own nutrients that way or something😁i don’t know if that’s actually true but it worked for me and the cuttings have beautiful roots now, hope it helps☺️🌱

They looks horrible when you mutilate the ríe leaves. This kind of plants looks beautiful when they are put 2 or 3 plants of different sizes in the same pot.
