Aparna Roy Aloe vera is such a plant that you can grow in any medium. So nothing to worry about potting mix. Even you can grow it in garden soil only.

It won't go till those leaves fall out on their own. Water it on regular intervals. Keeping the soil dry for a long time will lead to yellowing of leaves and dark spots. Very less watering will lead to thinning of leaves with no pulp.

Charu Goel you have to use fertiliser to grow it healthy, try to mix these: egg shell, banana peel and potato peel, put these inside the jar or any container, fill with water and close the container, wait for 7 days. Then, strain the water and use it to water your aloe plant.
