I am looking for an organic liquid fertilizer that doesn't have a fish/seafood/kelp base. Allergies keep me from using it. What fertilizer do you all use please?
@tinyleafmicrogreenfarm9 ай бұрын
Hey there. Check out ocean solution. Thy don’t use seafood or a fish base. They do use ocean minerals but that should not be an issue for any allergies. They are an organic liquid nutrient and we use it in our growing practices at tiny leaf. Hope that helps. Happy growing

After the harvest, will they regrow? Do you always start with new soil? Do you throw away the remaining stems and soil?

You guys should add some amazon affiliate links for all the gear you use and recommend! I would use them to purchase all the starting gear. Just coming across your channel now and starting my microgreens journey and this info is fantastic.

I know that when growing larger crops a compressed medium makes it more difficult for the roots to penetrate through the soil, and lacking those air pockets from a well-aerated medium means less Oxygen through the roots. Do you guys spike the dissolved O2 in your floodwater to compensate, or do you find it isn't an issue with microgreens? Edit: Also curious about the interaction between zerotol and the mycorrhizae, would the zerotol not destroy any colony of the beneficial fungus you have inoculated in your soil mix? I know that hydrogen peroxide inhibits fungal growth but wouldn't likely destroy a colony from single applications, but I feel like zerotol would absolutely eradicate the mycorrhizae. Thanks for your time

Hey there. We have not experienced much rooting issues. our micros root very well in our 10/20 flats. we use more soil in our longer growing crops like red veined sorrel etc. We have not done much research into the effects on Zerotol with Micorhizae but well for sure look into it. thank you for the valid information.

I have a lot of humidity in the Ivory Coast too. Was wondering wich zerotol to use?.. Thanks for answering.

What a beautiful farm you guys have! Have you considered playing music for the plants? Anything heavy on the violin to start out and you'll see physical responses from the plants. It's been my experience that happy plants both grow and taste better.

Depends on if you selling DTC or Wholesale. DTC does not require a license but id suggest insurance in case a vendor needs it from you to do business. Wholesale id recommend GAPS

Jus t a few questions.. Why do you use Hydrogen peroxide and Zerotol as Zerotol has H202 in it?? and What dilution do you do for the zerotol. and is it zerotol or zerotol 2.0? or zerotol HC
@tinyleafmicrogreenfarm9 ай бұрын
It’s over kill but we always do both because plant pathogens and molds are a big issue in the south Florida climate. We just don’t take chances anymore. We use 2.0 at the moment and we dilute heavily.

@@sarahhurley3750we dilute, the bottles offer a dilution recommendation. I believe it’s 2oz per 2 gallons of water but I would need to verify. They are too strong straight up to use as is. We buy the concentrated food grade products 😊
