While everyone wants huge curly hair I want elongated and defined curls... I thought I was the only one 😅

Foreign Fields that’s what I have and I don’t like it! My hair is so thin I look like a wet poodle even when dry. I understand not wanting the “over the top volume”. Mell’s Day 2 Hair looked like a nice middle compromise. Not too thin or to huge.

HI , MELL !! Hopefully I'm early enough for you to notice . I've seen a handful of others agreeing with me 🎶 We need a video about hair that doesn't like to curl at the root and only curls at the bottom (nice curls at the bottom , might I add !) . What do we do ?? Some of these products are too heavy for our hair (yes we're avoiding our roots , but it seems like the product is still weighing our hair down , even from the bottom). SO BASICALLY ! Products too heavy and straighter roots ! HELP US ! Love you 💙💙 PS Diffusing straightens the hair for some of us , including me lol
@ManesByMell4 жыл бұрын
Hair type hair type hair type explains it all. Length, texture, curl pattern, density. Some hairs get curlier as they get longer, and it’s also because the longer our hair is on our head the dryer it gets. Newsflash, dry curly hair is bigger and even curls tighter than super healthy hydrated strands in a very weird way. Ill be explaining this more in a full video but just know it’s probably not you doing anything wrong! Just the way that it is. Embrace it!! I’m sure you look beautiful ❤️

Finally the tutorial I was looking for. This method seems to be really working and I can't wait to try it. All the other tips for less volume I could find on the internet are useless and I hate it when people say that I am so lucky to have such volume and I should be happy with it, cause I honestly don't like it. I have a lot of volume and being really petite, I think it looks bad, really bad. I like my curls but I choose to straighten my hair just to get rid of the volume. Hell, many times I curl my hair with a straightener, after I straighten it, just so I could have curls without the volume. Many thanks for this tips.

I never style my hair cause no matter the effort I put into it....when I sleep, it's always squished the next day and I would need to wet it again and reapply product to get it to look like day 1 hair so I would apply a leave-in and tuck it into a bun since that's how it ends up anyway for the rest of the week but then I watched this....sweety you are a miracle worker...just the simple trick of how you tuck your hair in when sleeping, actually got me excited to do my hair again. not gonna lie at first i didn't expect anything....but then omg it worked....the next day my hair looked good, I took it out of the cap and it was flawless, i didn't even need to steam it or add anything....right now it's day 4 and my hair is so moisturized and curls are looking juicy and bouncy as if it's day 1, there is a bit of frizz and breakage damage, but other than it is amazing I used Cantu argan oil leave-in conditioner, then followed it by Cantu kids curling cream and that's it....oils tend to dry my hair so I skipped that part, and i hate how gels make my hair stiff, I like my hair to be flowy and bouncy i just really wanted to say thank you, you really helped me a lot...I made a big chop 2 years ago and that's when i found your channel, you've been guiding me ever since...so really thank you

After applying your product, try parting your hair on the opposite side than you usually wear it. Dry, then flip back to your normal side, you'll definitely get more volume!
@kay454 жыл бұрын
I have fine 3b hair but this might work for you! I brush my hair outwards from my scalp in sections and use a denmen brush to brush my product through and define my curls with wet (but not soaking) hair . By doing this I’m separating my curls and they start individually springing up creating more volume. I scrunch in some gel enough to leave a bit of hard cast. Then I air dry continuously flipping my hair in different directions so it doesn’t lay a certain way. Once it’s about 80 percent dry I start diffusing out the cast and upside down I diffuse my roots. I continue to flip my hair while I do this. Finally I shake out my roots and with a pick start picking around my root area and the back of my head. This has helped me go from flat roots to somewhat voluminous hair! I hope this helps 🥰
