Yes, two years later and my hair was getting shorter and shorter! I really had no idea..."chemical haircut!" And my high dollar hair professional never told me. And she called my curly hair "frizz" and "dead ends"- that should have been the first clue! Thank you for this video - I wish I'd had this info right after I bleached, highlighted and flat ironed my dry curly hair.

So excited for new video! A video suggestion I would say is can you do one about drug store hair products verses salon brands? Some people say even the “natural” drug store is bad like she’s moisture etc thinking only salon & higher brands are good for curly hair. My favorite is Natural Hair Growth Oil with Caffeine and Biotin. I buy it from Amazon. It’s thick and (to me) scent free and it has really helped fill in my hairline! I’m 49 and have a hereditary receding hair line, my mom and grandmother had same thing. It’s awesome!

mel, why are the ends of my hair so dry??? and why does my hair get so tangled with so many knots??? i haven’t put heat on it for almost two years, i have only dyed my hair twice (brunette box dye and then blonde highlights/lowlights to bring it back to my original color) and that was also two years ago, i use good products, i get regular trims (every 5-6 months, which has always worked for me in the past bc i wouldn’t have many split ends), i only wash my hair once a week and use leave-in conditioner throughout the week and a hair mask once a week on wash day... like i don’t get it. i’m doing everything right and my hair still hates me. i’ve never experienced this dryness and having tangly hair until like eight months ago :(

Most of it is mental. I mean just ignoring it beyond washing and conditioning. Wash, condition, put in a messy bun every day for about six months. One day after six months I take it down and style it to see my progress and the next week right back in messy bun. Out of sight; out of mind so the growing out process is less stressful.
