Once you start minoxidil, you have to continue your whole life because all new hair came from it, will fall out when you stop using minoxidil. Im using it for 5 years now because of hairloss. But I think it won't do anything when you don't have hairloss. Im spraying aloevera 10:1 concentrated juice mixed with rosemary Hydrolat on my scalp every night and massage 3 times a day with a silicone scalp massager. This is great for hair growth. Supplements like iodine, iron, zinc , omega 3 and lysine helped me to cure my thin hair

@@heidiguttenberg that’s not necessarily true about stopping use of minoxidil. I’ve used it off and on, but I slowly weened down the usage to just 1x a day 2-3 times a week for maintenance, and then eventually down to a complete stop. Also women can use the same strength as men. I’m in the states and get it by prescription at 7%. Please keep in mind that k18 and coconut oil behave similarly to protein treatments in the hair, so balancing with deep moisture treatments are crucial. Ohhh and the Redken acidic line is freaking AMAZING! I hope you get a chance to try it with the acidic shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. It truly delivers as promised. Their moisture mask is miraculous for me. Ulta sells a trail kit for a very good price. Hopefully you get to give it a try 🙏🏽

Hi Heidi, something similar happened to me, where my hair was completely fried. I tried every single hair growth product I could find and nothing. I had to cut it up to my ears. I finally went to My doctor and she told me that hair products do help to maintain hair integrity preventing breakage. But needless to say, hair grows from the inside, so taking hair supplements will help much more. I went to Walmart and got some hair, skin and nails supplements and my hair has grown so much faster. Please do not over saturate your scalp, just give it time and a little bit of help from the inside, sending hugs, and you always look gorgeous ❤

Heidi, you can try minoxidil in foam instead of the liquid, that doesn’t make your hair so greasy and actually gives it a bit of volume, that way you can use it twice a day. Also, dermatologists recommend 5% for both men and women. Your hair looks so amazing!! Great job at fixing it and thanks for sharing the whole journey ❤

Why would you care how the hairdresser feels? She destroyed her hair. At minimum Heidi should have written a bad review for the hairdresser. Who knows if this was even the first time messing up like this? If people don't write reviews others won't know to avoid this hairdresser.

@@EverythingAndNothing08 I happen to have a heart that can sympathize with human beings. I'm sure this lady was mortified. I would have been. Heidi said herself she made the choice to go with her since she was a professional. No one would do something like that on purpose. Maybe Heidi was compensated, but that still does not take away the fact that her hair was damaged. If Heidi wants to block me for my comment that is up to her. There is a reason for every bad thing that happens to us in life. It's usually to help someone else and I think Heidi is doing that through her own personal experience.

@@kathystclair9485 I'm sure the hairdresser didn't mean to do it on purpose but that doesn't mean that she's not incompetent or at least not paying close enough attention to what she's doing. Sorry that I think people should be held accountable for what they've done. If you would still go see her knowing what she did that's great. I'm not that forgiving.

I agree with this partially. Food that you eat can help the hair grow faster. However, anything you do on the outside is not going to work. Nutrition is the base and the most important. My hair grows quite fast, but when I lived in China, it grew significantly slower compared to now (about 1.5cm a month). However, 3 years ago I moved to Mexico and am doing my best to get the freshest organic produce I can. My hair grows well over 2cm each month. The other day I was looking at my photos from 2 years ago, and was shocked to see my hair in a short bob (above the shoulders) because now it's under the shoulder blades. Mind you, I cut about 4 inches in the last 2 months and in the meantime had at least 3 trims of over an inch.

Thanks for the update. I tried the rice water years ago, it wasn't for me. Made my hair feel weird. I just started using the Kerastase Therapiste line for the first time. I saw your review of the mask. I used the shampoo, mask, and serum and my hair feels amazing! I definitely think for this line best results come with using the whole line. I'm kind of surprised Kerastase never jumped on the whole bond builder trend. Anyway, you reminded me to dust off my splitender.😅 Love the rings!

I am the one that described the wet cotton texture. To make a long story short; I had red long hair. And went to a salon to have a Henna treatment for shine. It turned my hair green. The technician said no problem we will put on a bleach pack. It fried my hair to my neck. And felt like "wet cotton". I walked out with a pixy cut.

@@heidiguttenberg The wet cotton is the perfect description. Because we could just pull out long pieces of wet cotton with our hands. I was 18 at the time. And so I didn't know how to react. But it changed my life in a good way. I learned how to do everything myself. I never wanted to feel like that again. It is bad enough when you yourself cause a problem with your hair. But , when someone else does it to you. It is a lot more painful. Make sure you eat lots of eggs. They are the perfect food for hair. They are the only food loaded with Keratin, protein and all the amino acids our hair needs. As you know we have to feed our hair from the inside and out. Thanks Heidi for taking us along on your hair revival journey.

I did this as well, I bleached my hair for years and all the damage built up. I ended up getting a boyish pixie cut and drying it with a tint to dark brown, and started to grow my hair out instead but it takes forever to grow hair. I have very thin, fine and straight hair so it does not have volume or anything, but the damaging effects of bleach have made me just stick to brown or black colours without bleach or lightening services

I wouldn’t use rogaine, It was suggested because I’ve had some PCOS related hair loss but was warned because you can’t stop it, just like someone else commented. I would also suggest that Collagen has helped a lot and getting enough water and nutrients, along with what you’ve been doing, it will grow just try not to think about it so much, that’s helped a lot. There’s also this Dominican mask Emergencia that’s amazing since I’ve bleached my hair and blown it out so much and also the Elizavecca Collagen mask that’s like 7 bucks.

Hi there! May I ask ? Why don’t you darken your roots like one of the shots in your old videos ? Because I experienced hair breakage and tried everything possible to grow them back for 2 years but nothing worked till i had to darken the broken strands and get them trimmed every 8 weeks. Try not over do it with products and go back to the hair routine that you were used to when you were younger it really works! Lastly, I’ve been using rosemary oil mixed with castrol oil and coconut oil for the scalp it does wonders! And K18 is the best thing on the market. Period.

I would rather just chop my hair off than resort to using Rogaine. The shedding/hair loss that occurs once you stop is not pretty. It is also not to be taken lightly. Minoxidil comes with a ton of things that you have to be careful with, it can also interact with other medication and it is also not advised for people with cardiac issues. One should generally consult a doctor before using it. Minoxidil is overall NOT a good thing to promote as a good way to grow hair, I’m sorry.
