THANK YOU for saying you wash your hair every day!! I do every other day and I’m soooo sick of hair & skin influencers touting the bs that you need to “train” your hair to not become oily by not washing it for weeks on end 😅 as Brad Mondo says, ‘how often should you wash your hair? Whenever it’s dirty.’

I 3rd this😂, I'm definitely not one of those people who go more than 3 days without washing their hair, usually it's every other day. I use texturising products, I work out and cook regularly and having clean freshly washed hair feels so lovely. I can't imagine leaving it a week 😬
@justmeiam4996 Жыл бұрын
I found that most people who "trained" their hair have dry skin and dry scalp.I have a t zone and always felt like "Airbender" bc the oily part continues onto my scalp 😂😂😂.Also I love sulphate and no silicone in my shampoo.If I stick to this formula I don't have a problem with hair fall or growing my hair.And now I actually use drugstore products and my hair is awesome 😇
@Labuenavidasurf Жыл бұрын
I love that you mentioned time. This is so important, nothing helped my hair grow more than patience. Products won’t make your hair grow but they do temporarily transform the behaviour of your hair…almost like a distraction while you wait for your hair to grow. For anyone wanting to know how long it will take, hair grows 6 inches a year so to grow from root to past your shoulders, from the beginning will take about 2.5 - 3 years

So happy for you! It really does feel horrible when your hair is on a journey 😭 I literally went through the same but it looked worse as it all fell off the top and left me with the worst looking mullet. Worst part is the mullet looked deliberate 🤣 I stopped bleach, stopped using heat, stopped using extensions and finally I have my hair back! Frazzled little mullet is now a new head of hair and it took years also I’ve been with you going through it and just thank you for sharing! Buying all products you recommend 💓

I lost all my hair to chemo in 2020 (yay for cancer during covid) and it's grown back in so thin and fragile. I had extensions put in as soon as it was long enough and they ripped my hair out at the root. I've stopped coloring, obviously took the extensions out but now it's been a struggle to get it healthy and growing faster. Thank you so very much for this!!!

I am totally on a hair journey. I have curly hair that I used to straighten and bleach it was a disaster. I started to slowly go darker ( now I’m a brunette ) and already my hair is in such a better shape. I wash about twice a week with a bond building ( everpure which is the same as the Redken that is suggested in this video). One thing I have learned that products for damaged hair aren’t necessarily moisturizing… so figure out if your hair damaged or dry. so for me, it’s both so I tackle those two problems differently. steps: products for repair- bonding shampoo & conditioner ( olaplex 3 or k18 fall in the repair section of your hair routine) Moisture- such as leave in conditioner and masks further damage- heat protection for styling, how often you wash etc.

Couldn’t agree more with hairdresser point! We need to do what we can at home taking care of it but the colourist needs to take care too! It’s worth going to lots of consultations to find someone on your wavelength if you are going to bleach or lighten your hair that it is possible to do this gently with a lower vol, a lot of hairdressers want a quick turn over and will use a more damaging higher vol to lift quick or put you under a heater so you are done quicker but this ruins the cuticle and it only takes one bad hair appointment to ruin a whole head of hair

So true that it’s a 5 year journey, it gets better at the beginning but I’m 4 years in and my hairs never been better, I can see the end is in sight now but I’ll never mistreat my hair again. I was same extensions and bleach left my hair struggling for life. Redken is a staple, Olaplex is a gift to hair I love the stuff, but picked up a few tips that I’m going to try, I’m already on Amazon looking at Nioxin. Agree Dyson hair are tools essential for styling at the lower temperatures too. ❤
@eviemorgs7 ай бұрын
Congratulations on your progress 😊 I’m lucky to have really long thick hair but I have some breakage around my hair line so I’m on a healthy hair journey. You are so right about being very slow and gentle when brushing and styling, my advice would be don’t shampoo or apply heat directly to the hair line, only apply oil to the scalp a few hours before washing (don’t sleep with it overnight as it can attract dirt and clog the follicles) don’t put the pipette from oils directly on the scalp as bacteria can be transferred, only wash and style hair twice a week as the more you touch your hair the more breakage you will get (always shampoo twice like a double cleanse when washing to make sure hair is fully clean and stays clean between washes) always oil the ends at night and sleep on a silk pillow case with a low loose protective hair style like a plait oh and wash your brushes weekly. What shampoo, conditioner and masks etc are you using now please?

I’m considering having extensions to help me protect my real hair. I use microfibres towels, silk pillowcases; all the treatments, only highlight every 4 months, and yet it will not grow. It’s the same length as it was in March. Literally no difference. It’s been like this for years. It rules my life.

I have been struggling with my hair for a while now, I was colouring it and I use staighteners. It's put me off going to the hairdressers for two of the reasons you said, I lost clumps of hair with them being too rough with the brushing when hair is wet and also the rubbing too viigorously with the towel. Haven't tried Olaplex because of the mixed reviews.

Sounds like you have a sensitive scalp, itching is not normal, it could be signalling an underlying scalp condition like eczema. I would recommend talking to a pharmacist.

Itchy scalp, try the scalp oil from fable and mane before showering. Work it in your scalp and shampo twice. Trust me. Ive had beautiful long knee/hiplenght hair its still hip lenght but my hairdresser made a mistake and burned it horribly 😢 im trying to save it now 💔 good luck in your journey (also dont use rosemary oil directly on your scalp! It will burn google it if you dont believe me just use oil in which rosemary oil is added like the oil from fable and mane).
