Watering: Ensure the plants are adequately watered before the onset of freezing temperatures. Moist soil retains heat better than dry soil. Location: If possible, plant eggplants in a sheltered location where they can receive maximum sunlight during the day. This helps them stay warmer. Frost Protection: If frost is expected, cover the plants with blankets, old sheets, or specially designed frost cloths in the evening. Remove these covers during the day to allow sunlight and air circulation.
