Grapes are one of the easiest fruit to grow. You can plant bare root grapes or potted grapes in containers. Grapes should be pruned and trained to climb a trellis. Here is the complete guide on how to grow grapes. One grape vine will yield upto 25lbs of grapes when fully matured. Grapes do not need a lot of fertilizer and grow in almost any kind of soil. Proper pruning, watering, and trellis structure is needed to grow grapes efficiently. Different varieties of grapes grow in variety of zones and taste very unique as well. After you plant grapes, you can start having big harvest in two years. You can grow any variety of grapes such as thompson grapes, canadice grapes, niagara grapes, or concord grapes. I always prefer and promote organic gardening. I hope this complete growing guide on how to grow grapes was helpful.

I bought a grape plant at a grocery store last year. Unfortunately, it got forgotten for two days in a very hot garage. We tried planting it anyway but it shriveled up with only the roots surviving. I thought it was a goner for sure, but within a couple of weeks, we saw it sprouting again. Even more surprising was when after several months, it beared fruit! I thought it would take longer, but we had 5-7 bunches of delicious little grapes. After that harvest, we had to move and I regret not taking a cutting.

I bought a grapevine about 3 or 4 years ago. The top looked like a Y and only one of the Y's had life to it and started growing a vine. I planted it against a bunch of bushes and let it climb up it on them. I think, the first, or second year (?) it produced only a few "grapes." When I picked and ate one, It tasted like a Muscadine. It had a sack of fluid (that tasted like Muscadines) and one seed in it. I remember thinking, What the HECK?" I thought that the store must have sold me a Muscadine vine, instead of an actual grape. But the next year, it grew true grapes and I realized it was a real grapevine. And the other Y side shot out growth. The only problem was, it had climbed up so high on the bushes that, by the time I got to cut any of the vine down to eat anything, the birds had gotten most of the grapes. This year, the vine is producing a LOT of lower grapes, and I hope to be able to get me some before the birds do. If not, it's no big deal. I'm just so happy to finally be growing a vibrant, producing grapevine.

Communication is the simplest from of understanding. Rude and discourteous is the very definition of disrespect. I would 99.9% guarantee that “Jag” in no way shape or form felt disrespected because someone acknowledging the useful information in “his” KZbin video misheard the pronunciation of his name. Have a beautiful and productive day Chris.

You plant them once as oppose to planting annuals over and over again, and they will be sweet if you let them ripen on the plant and much better than any store bought grapes you have even had. Grapes will produce for 40 to 50 years.

I have a grapevine, on its third year. It was going to be a beautiful bountiful harvest! I came home one day, and all the grapes were ravished!!! It had to be the birds. 😭😡Now I know, to put a net over them! My second grapevine, do not even produce leaves. Do I pronounce it officially dead; and start over? I have no idea what prevent it from having any growth.
