I got the inversion advice looong ago, literally as a little girl, by a Teacher into natural living. At the time I thought she was crazy (she advocated head stands, yes for real) but she and her daughters had tons of hair. Today as an adult and licensed stylist I know why it has validity. A stability ball is a nice way to do inversion (fwd and backward) and you get a nice stretch as a bonus :-)

Try amla organic powder mixed with water so the consistency is thick. I tried it as I'm south Asian and my hair strengthened after having two kids instead of falling out. Some Indian and Pakistani women mix the powder with other oils which I haven't tried but i tried it as a hair mask and left it for 2 hours omg my hair feels so silky and for once I have not had frizz. I would recommend this to my black sisters coz I know the struggle I have think frizzy curly hair that is easily tangled. Please please try it and review it babe x
@curli-lettey43199 жыл бұрын
If you're going to use an oil with the Amla powder, use 100% virgin coconut oil or Jojoba oil, they are easily absorbed into the scalp.

I did the inversion method Two times.and double my growth to Two inches by adding hair vitamins. The inversion method is done once a month for 7 days with Or without oil. Massage your scalp bend over for 4 mins and come back up slowly.
@DeeCeeofNY10 жыл бұрын
The GHE method is wonderful. I have done it under my wig (the two times I had the courage to wear my wig lol). I water only wash so I don't do the oils. I have experienced hair growth around the perimeter of my head. 24 yrs of bing in the military and stressing my hear out with high tension buns and ponytails had taken its toll. That hair is filling out but I have also noticed the darkening of hair follicles and hair growth in areas where I did not have hair to begin with. This is an amazing adventure and it's just awesome seeing how naturally equipped the human body really is. Thanks to courageous women like yourself I learn something new everyday.

I tried the Inversion method and I've done it for about 3 or 4 months and I have got about an inch each month so would recommend. However the greenhouse effect, does allow growth, but it can cause heat damage due to the continuous daily heat exposure, sealing with a cap and bag over night. I did try the green house and also got results but not as obvious as the inversion. scalp massages work excellently well too; do incorporate into your daily regimen even after your growth challenge. it really does make a difference! I have heard another youtube natural girl complaining of hair breakage after prolonged green house effect, however she still does it cuz of the bonus side of hair growth. Your Choice!

That wig is everything! I heard that the inversion method was only supposed to be used once a month for 7 days. Be careful of blood clots too. They say that can be a side effect. Who is they? I don't know I heard it somewhere. Lol. Good luck on the growth journey!
@MSims-ck3ou8 жыл бұрын
I've been doing the inversion for months now for 1 week at a time then I skip over to the next month then I repeat. I've been Greenhousin for the last couple of weeks. Tday I did the 2 eggs and 4 tsps of Organic Coconut oil , wrapped it in Saran Wrap. Washed it midly with shampoo, then co-washed and combed thru. Finished off with the warm oil, a 4 minute scalp massage then covered hair with plastic bag and scarf, gonna sleep on it.... I admit using the eggs with oil was tricky and drippy despite my best efforts, but when I cowashed and rinsed, I saw curl patterns on my Afro natural I had not seen before! Super excited to see my growth at the end of the week when I complete my Inversion week!

can i do the greenhousin method every day?
@trinitymiracle19758 жыл бұрын
+stella angibeau You don't want to do it everyday because there us such a thing called "too much moisture" which can be bad for your hair. So maybe every other day or only when needed. You could do it on wash days! However many times you wash your hair a week, whether that's once or twice

This is kinda similar to my method. I try to do the inversion method in the shower since it's hot and steamy in there and massaging shower head works to. My hair is in two Dutch braids so I don't have to detangle nothing. Then I blot dry my hair and I have a cup of oil on the side too. Except I use a DIY natural baby oil, unmineral oil, olive oil solution and apply conditioner and the oil to my hair. Slap on a shower cap, 2-4 wig caps and a wig. I've gotten 6 inches from doing this and I started detangling my hair every 4 months. I let it get frizzy until I want to smooth down the frizzes and redo the braids. But the braids still maintain moisture and oil even if I stop applying it for 2 weeks.

My thought is that the unit thins the natural hair. I know that's tough to hear. Weaves create too much tension on the scalp. I've been noticing that people who have that complaint normally have a weave or have had many weaves. I suggest wearing only your hair going truly natural & then observing how thin, thick or fast it grows. Just an honest observation intended to help.

Hey Rochelle! My hair's fine & I've been natural for about 4 years too. My growth got stunted over the years because I was following the regime that a lot of thicker curlies use. Once I realized "Oh my hair is fine...so it's more fragile and gets dryer quickly"...I started moisturizing my hair (co-washing or just wetting it in the the shower with no product) every two - three days. It just needs a bit more moisture and a lot less manipulation - even braiding can be harsh. Have you experimented with wash n' gos? Have you tried the curly-girl method? IDK, IDK if this may help you. It's just that I went through the same thing and my hair has grown soooooo much this year - OH and I've been drinking a lot more water too.

Not sure how your experiments with the Inversion Method (IM) and the Green House Effect (GHE) worked out considering I am just seeing your video a few months after posting...but I thought I'd comment. I have tried both methods. I got an inch of growth with the IM method. I didn't do it perfectly, but it worked. I did the GHE multiple times. I love the GHE. It's easy. I love it. I will always keep this in my routine. I don't do it every week or even every month, however, I have to say that it definitely creates a "hair rowth promoting" environment for my hair. I hope it worked for you. (BTW, love the unit. Looks great.)

Hey, you may want to heat your oil every once in a while bc it penetrates so much faster. Also, remember back in the day, people with Jheri curls applied their products and then put on a baggy to sleep in or until the hair was moisturized and soft? Hence - the "Baggy Method" -- same thing. It was Jheri curls that made it possible for a lot of folk to have long hair. Just saying!
