My cucumber was as big as yours and then developed angular leaf spot! I pulled it out and replaced with a new cucumber yesterday. I believe my seeds were not stored properly over winter. The new plant was bought from Lowe’s. We will see what happens next. Yours looks beautiful! Great job.

That's terrible, hopefully the new plant . I'm trying an experiment to clone a cutting they broke off mistake. I might be imagining it but I think it might be working. At least didn't die yet

What are your ppm/ec in the buckets when mixing nutes
@jnineneuorpe88414 жыл бұрын
Hi, Do not forget to place your pump higher than your bucket to prevent the water from running back into the pump if there is a power outage and/or when you are change the nutrients... c

What method did you use to pollinate the flowers ?

Just curious. Why wouldn't you just add water with nutrients mixed in to the existing bucket?
@SoothingLeaf4 жыл бұрын
Keeping things clean and controlled this way can recreate same thing again. The old container still had some solution left over as you seen in the video. But also some dirt and debris from clay pebbles.

Unless there's a need to scrub out the bucket, I've always drained via the water level indicator tube by using an inline pump or just inverting the tube into another container (setup will need to be a few feet above the floor) and refilled by adding nutrient solution at the base of the plant right through the grow media. You can flush a few times with plain water if needed before adding nutrient solution. Don't have to even lift the cover.

Hello there mate. So I'm DWC method, can you add solution up to the starting point again without having any problem with the roots? Very good video, thanks for sharing and greetings from Australia 🦘🦘🦘

Ya done good!!! 👍 That’s the only negative when ya gotta do nute change but everyone does it just like that that I’ve ever seen and it’s how I do too. There’s probably a way though of setting up a gravity feed resivore! As the water drops it gravity feeds through a float valve then maybe use your site tube to add mixed up nutrients and if need be use one of the spare outlets on your pump to push in nutes it could then be left in place and become a air hose no more air stone needed! Saw it done by someone on you tube like ten yrs ago pretty nifty but not my idea it looks pretty fool proof too

Yeah that would be pretty great to auto fill like bell siphon. But I'm thinking of just placing the bucket on a small stool or box. Something that will have extra space needed to easily place new bucket underneath.

When do you refill the nutrients? Do you top up with water a few times before swopping out?
@richardlucas86663 жыл бұрын
Why didn’t you just pour the new solution into the old bucket?
@Adol6663 жыл бұрын
Why dont you just empty your nutrient from your drain hose/ water level hose? Just turn it to the side and drain
@igorfomenko91893 жыл бұрын
why not just drain old solution and fill in new one?
@brandonminiman4 жыл бұрын
Also can't you just refill your nutes instead of changing bucket?
@SoothingLeaf4 жыл бұрын
Someone asked same thing before lol. Yeah I had to change it because it had few clay pebbles that my son dropped in haha, among other dust and debris that noticed was in the bottom. You can even see it in the video at one point. Also this way I keep things clean, and controlled. Don't want old solution tampering with my new perfect mix. This way it's possible to redo again. If refilling your randomly mixing with old solution and sometimes results in more problems.then you need. But hey to each his own, I'm sure no perfect way to do it.

N ew subscriber.Are you going to switch to MaxiBloom since the plants are flowering and fruiting?
@SoothingLeaf4 жыл бұрын
You know I did not even know this was a thing until just a moment ago after reading this. Actually quite surprised Amazon didn't advertise this to me. Will have to see what happens I guess. May order it still, or possibly go back to Masterblend for the flowering stage portion. Will about a week to see how growth is going before doing anything drastic. Although I definitely do see the cukes are starting to get plump
@dokutaaguriin4 жыл бұрын
@@SoothingLeaf My guess is that you will get some cukes but maybe not as plentiful as possible from the plant. Happy growing. Jeff
