Based on my personal experience I applied the light type of castor oil on my whole hair for about 2-3 hr 2-3 times a week without heat or hair cap cuz I massage my hair the same time I apply the oil within 3 weeks my hair grew really fast, strong, healthy, no shedding, easily brushed Also I tried the heavy type of castor oil and I didn’t like it cuz basically (low porosity hair) my hair prefers light products which it can absorbs fast and easy

Short edges due to you cutting them is not a problem with edges. You also have strong growing hair. People must remember to look at the characteristics of the person's hair they are taking advice from and align with the advice of the person who suffers from the same issues. Cutting your hair is simply a choive,not a problem. I love your video for those who have the same issue as you do. Keep it up!

Hello Amber♡ I am very happy to hear your hair journey, and suggestions. I have major hair loss after allowing a hair stylist to chemically straighten my hair, and because I was going to a stylist because I wanted help to care for my naturally long virgin hair. She being Latina and I being African American. Back in the mid 90's there wasn't as many salons as it is now, we didn't have KZbin, and after eight years of professionally, chemically maintained hair care, one day I said enough. I wasn't getting what I needed and she also knew that she wasn't helping me to grow my hair. I wanted curly curls without the ever so hoy curling irons, we didn't really use flat irons because I don't know if they were even being used at that time but she would use heat from the curling irons to flat iron along with the chemical straightening. All I really wanted was wash and go curls, with some high lights. Since 2005, I have been doing my own hair and I have caused major hair loss. Until now! I have learned so much from KZbin and Pinterest. I want to keep it simple but the major damage requires special attention. Today, I had some build up from the Castrol after being in my hair for a few days and I wanted to use a DIY conditioning hair mask, but after I wet my hair in the cold water shower I could feel the sticky product build up. So I used a baking soda, amla powder, filtered water and a little Epsom salt. After towel drying I sprayed Infusium23 original mixed with filted water and sealed with my DIY oils. My protective style is pulled back but not using rubber bands. I do also have to take hair, skin & nails supplements and eat healthy foods. I feel good with these new DIY'S but time will tell if I have a good regimen.

I feel your pain with the salon back in the 90's. The " beautician" I was going to caused some serious scarring on the crown of my scalp and I have been dealing with major hair loss since. I went from glue-ins, clip-is, wigs, front lace sew- ins twists and braids trying to hide the bald spots. I regret my decision to ever start going to a salon and I still regret it because the crown is still bald but slowly growing in. Then last April 2017, I'd finally had enough of it all and decided I was going to do a big chop and start all over and focus on how to care for and grow my natural hair. No more salons. So I had my husband shave my entire head clean and smooth. I'm always on You Tube looking for some new product or process to try that might just help the crown grow in faster and fuller. Currently my hair is 7 inches long with the exception of the crown. I used essential oils for scalp massages and Shea Moisture products, Olive oil and Avocado oil to moisturize and seal. It's working so I'll keep doing what I'm doing. Best wishes to you my sister for successful hair growth. 😉

Well done. The sunny isle Jamaican castor oil is the only brand I find that seems like the only authentic castor oil I have found so far. Many companies have been using the name and the consumers are fooled because they don't know. Let me tell you, real Castro oil literally smell like roasted nuts not all pleasant. This makes sense, our hair need moisture to grow. I do have a large jar of the JBCO leave- in conditioner . The young lady name Brianna I believe, but she is a nurse said the same thing grew her hair too. Shampoo ( trim edge if possible) - deep condition - rinse -air dry- message edges with some wild growth or JBCO - apply a lil leave in conditioner to edges, done . Repeat every 3 days except shampoo only once a month for product build up, just deep condition hair.

Thank you! My routine is pretty simple. I use Sunny Isle Jamaican black castor oil every few days and on wash day I use Vicks Vapo rub. I also spray my hair with warm water each night then follow that with Hawaiian Silky. I'm finding that my very dry hair loves glycerine based products. Oh, and I gave my hair and edges a rest from braided styles. My hair is growing like crazy!!!

@@oceanaiimpraim934 thanks for getting back to me! Sounds like a great routine. So do you wet your hair before applying the castor oil and how many days till you wash it out? Do you mind breaking it down by a month bases?
@oceanaiimpraim934
@oceanaiimpraim934 4 жыл бұрын
@@najma2613 You're welcome! I only apply castor oil to my edges. I do so every two or three days. My wash routine is the same every week. Every Friday I wash my hair. Right now I'm using Cantu Hydrating shampoo. Every fourth week I do an apple cider vinegar rinse. I follow my shampoo/ rinse with the Cantu Hydrating conditioner and mix in Grapeseed oil. I then sit under a dryer bonnet for about 40 minutes. I rinse everything out then spray Hawaiian silky from my roots to ends. I spilt my hair in sections, brush each section with a wide tooth comb then Denman brush and braid that section. I then rub Blue Magic Indian hemp over the ends ONLY. I tie up my head and go to bed. For every day, I style my hair in the morning. It's usually in a bun or some style where my ends are hidden because they are very dry. At night, I spray warm water on my hair then apply Hawaiian silky OR Sta-Sof-Fro leave in (very old school)- I focus mostly on the ends. I will also apply Blue Magic to the ends when they feel dry, but not every day. Sometimes I do large twists or just a bun. I tie up my hair with a silk scarf then off to bed. My routine is very simple and I don't go back and forth between a lot of products. I've found what works for my hair and just stick to that. My hair is very dry and I've found that too many layers of products make my hair feel heavy and brittle. I hope this helps☺

People some people have growing hair from them being mixed and other people have slow growing hair. If your hair is damaged fine someone who has blessed hands that can work on your hair. Find out what products work for you and stick with I am working on my edges still. I think these liars online are getting paid. What works for some people may not work for you. Say a lot of prayers and stick to it. If you choose not to let anyone work on your hair see a dermatologist and also get your thyroid checked and get rid of any person causing you stress. No weaves just back to natural all the way. Free yourself. Lots and lots of prayers. Peace and love.

Your hair looks like my oldest daughter's, as far as length and the amt. and I can only imagine how much work it is because I have 3 daughter's and it was crazy when they were little because they all have a head full of hair and my hair was long then...So I know that's some work. Tfs your video was so relaxing as I sat watching and P.S. Then whats crazy is her 2 daughters have a lot of hair and the oldest is long like yours but my daughter has hell to pay the captain because my my oldest grand girl is tender headed..I'm almost done but if anyone has a head full of long thick hair or child with it use Cantu, is wonderful!👌👌😮😊

As soon as I didn't use eco styler, started a routine similar with massage my edges are coming back. I have never had trouble until I stopped using brown gel.

I absolutely adore your accent! 🤗Great video by the way. I’ve always had rather thin edges(not crazy thin) but my edges broke some months back due to tight wig caps; however the rest of my hair is quite full. Is this likely to work for me? Also I recently brought Cantu leave in conditioner, have you ever used this brand before? If so is it also good?

Jacque Hanna Her having no edges is probably what my edges look like when I think they're healthy. Genetically she is predisposed to that type of growth. I've done this routine and my edges fill in and grow a little, but I've never had inches of growth on my edges n matter how careful I am. The only magic needed for 10 inch edges is good genes.👍🏽😁

Terri Boyd ....Super Well..Said.🤗🤗 I have noticed many people posting videos on YT about Oils etc and Growth...have thick hair to begin with. And while I agree Oils such as Castor Oil helps significantly to those of us with fine hair...so do other types such as Coconut, Olive oil and Grapeseed oil do provide Strength to the Hair which also allows for noticeable volume, length and bounceability after use for a certain period of time..lol.

They say the softer the hair the faster it grows (in my country) i had a big head of 4c type hair but i wanted to look like a black sleek haired Barbie and now i have a handfull of hair and no edges :( I really regret it.....You never know what you had untill you lose it..... Forget the lenght i just want my edges back! I really really hope this works for me b'cuz both these products are expensive(expensive for me) in my country.
