And, if you want to get more peppers, faster, winter over your pepper plants! My sister dug up some of her pepper plants, put them in plant pots and brought them indoors and had peppers in the winter. She replanted them in the garden and kept them going for at least 3 years in that manner.

No. They germinate much faster when they are fresh from the pepper. I heard that the seeds from green bell peppers aren't ripe enough to grow. But now I want to try it.
