Two questions: First is Taunton Deane kale closely related to Red Russian kale as it looks very similar in appearance and grows very similarly? Second: have you tried rooting the cuttings in a standard cuttings propagator.... I use the type that sprays water from beneath and has a plastic dome and maintains a constant humidity.. ? Should they root well in there or be more liable to rot? On the former point, is the taste of TD kale very similar to Red Russian which can be eaten raw as well as steamed and is the most tender kale I have grown? Thanks for your informative video.

I have a small ish veg plot and have decided to grown mor perennial brassicas. I have got some Asturias tree cabbage seeds going now, would love to find a Taunton dean kale and that ever elusive 9star broccoli plant. If anyone knows a good place to get these from I would be grateful to know. Thanks. We love brassicas but they take up so much space perennial brassicas are a fab idea. Your technique for taking cuttings was well explained Alex, many thanks. 🤗

Just a quick note Alex, because I think you forgot to mention it, put these fresh cuttings in the shade for at least the first week or so and keep away from slugs/snails which love them! : All the best - Steve
