it works. It worked in just 5 days sprouts came out. I did not use fungicide but I have covered them in transparent plastic. Also I live in a place with temperature of around 30-35°C . More mature rose stem will sprouts earlier. Thank you for the video. I tried and its working. So helpful

If you want an actual rose plant you should strip the stem of all its leaves so that it spends its time on growing roots. Also, growth hormone increases the chance of rooting.

Thanks for that!! I just did that. I'm also following the advice above but do you know if these need to be in sunlight at all? It's just starting winter here in Australia, but I live in Queensland so it'll be like 6 degrees at night - 20 degrees during the day to start with. So ... I guess coz it's not our hot summer sun it's ok to get them in direct sunlight but then.. Maybe once it's starting to get hotter by October, I should get it out of the direct sunlight? Any advice would be great! And I'm guessing I don't water the plants when I have the bottles on top, it just keeps it night and humid in there right?? I only put the bottle on one of the stems as the second one was a little bit too green and soft. I'm wondering if I should have cut it up a little bit more from were it had been in the water of the bouquet to keep it alive. I did cut it a bit more up the stem but probably should have got to s dryer section. Anyhow I'll see how that goes!!

Just like watering plants, you do water the plant. You are creating a greenhouse affect placing the bottles over the stem giving moisture and perfect temperature to grow. The small hole in the top is to allow a little air to vent.

Yes you want a hole in the lid. You don't want the pot to dry out all the way, but you don't want to over water as it will rot the cuttings.

I’m trying this procedure for the very first time. Do I have to add water to the soil? Kindly advise. Grateful 😇

Looks like sand which is used alot for cuttings . and the white powder is root hormone. It comes in liquid, powder and even gel. It helps stimulate root growth and gives higher success rate. You can also use raw honey.

@@benclark4779 Actually he said the white stuff was *fungicide* (but I'm pretty sure the fungicide IS also rooting hormone), so Ben you are right, I think? Lol. But hey, is that really sand? I'm pretty sure it's garden soil like he said. Looks like he's in an Eastern part of the world where the soil is really dry.

That is actually soil not sand. I am from India where soil is very fine and dry which more looks like a sand. 😀 Mostly people in my back home (70%) do not buy soil from outside for planting. They just use a ground soil.
