I planted my melons under my peppers and squash with flowers. It is a true food forest and it works to keep the bugs away. I also trim the oldest leaves. Thanks for the tips.

Excellent information, as always. And thank you for including the qualities of the Holy Spirit found at Gal. 5:22, 23.

If you want an awesome watermelon for the north, try Janosik. It’s bright yellow fleshed, very sweet and crisp. Mine get 15 to 20+ pounds here in Minnesota. Very productive. 4 melons per plant. Only fertilizer mine get is cow manure dug under each fall. Plant mine in peat pots May 15 and put them in the garden in black plastic mulch as soon as I can after they come up. About June 1st. I use Biosafe concentrate organic fungicide, works great.

Spraying the plants every two weeks with a mixture of epsom salt and borax is suppose to help. I am going to try this next year because my melons were bland this year.

I would love it if you could do a melon taste test and describe them for me as I have limited space to grow in and it would help me choose varieties that would be less likely to be a waste of my time and space. Thanks so much. By the way I loved the way you ended your video. In 2009 I chose Galatians 5:22 as my life verse. It's the best way to sift through all the crazy and get to living your best life. However it's a challenge every day to apply each one of those words to everything that's going on. I love it!

You mentioned cooler nights, is that a must ? I live in an area where the temperature is around 41C, at night it’s 31-38C, is that going to be a problem ? I’m planing to grow it under my citrus tree to avoid sunburn

I grew some cantelopes. Just opened one, very ripe, not sweet though😒
