Awesome video! Another key to having financial freedom: When the money you earn is based on the value you bring, rather the time spent working. Surprisingly, you can achieve this in a field like garage door repair because you can make good money per job and each one takes little time. Again great podcast!

Thanks to Devin im officially a grower. But thank you for talking about finances. As I've reached adult hood I've noticed "battle" of sorts between a job that pays well and one that will make you happy. I majored in music industry. I wanted to work at a music venue. But anyone can tell you its hard to get into. Whether you want to be an artist or work behind the scenes. Now here I am almost 30 wondering if I should play it safe or continue to try. Right now I've been at a job i hate for 3 years to the day. All bc it "pays well "

I say I’m fine with being a minimalist but I buy so much online. I really want to be that “the world is mine because I don’t own anything” kind of girl 😮

22:50 I make the distinction between shame and embarrassment purely based on utility. If all the emotion does is make me feel bad then it is non-productive and I classify as embarrassment. I have not felt embarrassment in many years. However, I define shame as essentially the more intense and utilitarian version of embarrassment. It is the feeling I experience when I have done something that has harmed the well-being of another person. I don't know how or why my mind blessed me with the ability to toss out frivolous embarrassment and retain only it's pragmatic kin shame but I can't say I'm not stoked about it.

i hate dealing with money. but im always stressed when it comes to money basically living pay check to pay check and there's so much adulting stuff I don't understand lol. But to be honest I'm not ready to deal with it as much as I force myself to do the bare minimum so how do you get yourself to do more than just the bare minimum.

Hey Devon I have a question, do you think if the podcast releases enough episodes for you and Scott Fellows to show at Nickelodeon and Paramount do you think it will be enough to convince them to do a reboot of Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and if they do try this title, instead of Ned’s Declassified Adulthood Survival Guide try Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide “College Edition” cause it fits the bill in this case plus you’re never too old to go to college

Everyone has struggles in their life. The difference is the ones who seem like they don’t aren’t listening or vocalizing the thoughts you just had. Sadly I’ve been pretty programmed all my life to have bad self talk, it’s really hard to step out of it. It’s an energy these people have, sometimes i have it, but the dry spouts without it are when I struggle the most. I wish as a child I was trained to be more “ON”, my mom held my hand too much and gave in to my “i don’t want to hang out with my cousins I just want to hang out with you at family parties” or any anti social trait, because she was trying to be a good mom, but at the same time she was also anti social herself.

Most people want wealth so they can have more, I want wealth so that I can give more. I don’t think chasing money is bad, sitting on money is like dead energy to me though, if you have more then you need, idk

I wish feminism wasn’t such a politically confusing charged word. I love the aspect and agree that men and women should be paid equal, time is time. However I do not agree that men and women ARE equal, I’m always against the extremest in any topic for sure…
