It’s so good to have people like you sir! I had older discus when I started the journey now I’m learning everything I can for juveniles. They are definitely a different ball park and need more attention. I swear ima fish doctor at this point and a discus daddy. Love these animals and learning how to care for em. I’ve had discus now for 4-5 years now

Im glad you made this video, i get a lot of hate because of this subject but there is no doubt to me this is factual information. Discus are just a different animal. Steve Heller

Thank you for the video, George. I always get a little nugget to take away that helps me with my own Discus Tank whenever I watch your channel.

Very useful information. I know you had a similar video a few years ago but this video answered more questions about what size tanks and feeding schedules too. Thank you.

35 US Gallons. Do you have Seachem Paraguard? If so use that for three days and on the 4th day do a 30% water change and ad 1 tablespoon of aquarium Tock salt

Hey, great video! I am actually in the market to getting some discus again. I have a 75 gallon tank with some community fish (not over stocked). It is a planted tank with Co2, I have been reading so much about stunted growth with discus, bare bottom being better than substrate, smaller tanks better for growing out etc. So many conflicting information. I think I am just going to pull the trigger since I have kept discus before in a bigger tank and also seen growth. I only was wondering in terms of paraguard, how do you dose it in your tank when you add fish to your community tank? I do not have a quarantine tank, so I would be doing the same thing as you when adding new fish as a preventative measure. I do also have a catfish which is scaleless, would that be a concern? Also what about the plants?

I have never used C02 in a Discus Tank so not sure how that would play? As far as Paraguard I use it with all new fish going into a new tank or adding fish. It is a very safe product and I personally have never had a problem with it.

George, can I put 5 small Discus in a 10 gallon tank? Would this help them grow or is the tank too small?

I have a heavily planted 125 gallon tank. Can I add 8 juveniles . I don’t care if they take longer to grow. They would be 3.5 inches.
