I guess the bottomline is, your audience can see whether you just want money or you truly want to create value for your customers..

Tips for knowing what engagement content to post? I want to put this into play but I'm not sure how far "off brand" is too far. Like is a TikTok of me sharing a recipe/cooking dinner too far off topic for a clothing brand page? Should it all be specifically geared towards *just* my niche audience or just posting good content in general to gain a following?

Following!! I’ve been struggling with this myself

My 2 cents, wear your others while you cook, becuase it’ll expand ur audience either way. If it’s done professionally or if it’s done as one of the vlog with me type videos. It’ll develop the relationship and show people you’re a real himan

Do you think the talk to camera type day in the life videos that she does work only on TikTok or can that strategy be applied to Instagram too?

I guess it can work but this make you a influencer more than a clothing brand owner..

I agree to disagree... Hear me out , alot of clothing brand use main page for community and brand page for awareness product based so its really based off if u can build a personal brand that will support you're brand right along with growing both brand and personal page

That example of content marketing is so wrong. Just because she has a personal following it does not guarantee any sales whatsoever. Yes she has audience but she has no message. People are following her for her funny content and personality. She is still going to start her brand messaging from cold and it will probably alienate a significant portion of her audience if she transitions her channel to marketing the brand. You need a TARGETED audience. You need to come out and create content that resonates with the people that your business wants to sell to. tell stories about the hows and whys, the things that drive you to create and do. Create affinity with your potential customers. A following of 1000 superfans for your brand is a million times better than a random audience following you for a completely unassociated reason. This isn't some random put down comment, it's not meant that way, but I run a marketing company and used to run a large format and T shirt printing business so I can speak with extremely good knowledge of both subjects.

So much wrong with this strategy for most people. First most owners aren't 19, or able to be a producer all day everyday. I quit my KZbin bc it was a ft job just for fun. Plus not everyone is an entertainer. This is worse than a 9-5. I want to design in private and make money. Not be a media star. Of course she has a million followers. I need a solution EVERY owner can do. This was supposed to be effortless. The exposure part. That's a what the internet is for. I'd rather buy ads than take on media star producer. WTF? I want see it buy it. Boss is far easier. No one has time for all that. Who but a 19 yo? Media star is not passive income. I can post the product effortlessly. People cannot do tv production 12 times a day to get a viral video. No wonder hundreds of designs aren't working. There is no passive way to market. You need to HIRE a marketing firm so much for low overhead. Might as well open a brick store. This is not for fun. It's for real.

Agree. Creating organic contents is slow and time consuming. Just hire people for the right job.
