gurpreet gikki There is a few options here: you can do it the way it's done in the video, using adhesive strips. You can buy precut adhesive online. I would not recommend using glue, because it's really hard to control the amount you are applying and it can be messy. Plus, if you need to take the watch apart later on it can be a bit more complicated because of the glue. Thank you

Najam Ashrafi you probably have a force touch sensor broken/cut. It’s a thin tape like film that sits right around where the screen is attached to the frame

Nobody tells people when you buy just the digitizer it is not programmed. What I do hun is go on eBay and buy an iCloud locked watch and use that whole screen replacement with everything on so it’s just the connectors you have to put in n good to go. It is a hit n miss rather touch will work. Idk why. I bough 5 iCloud locked watches and 2 out the 5 had no touch when put on. Weird Ik but you will be able to fix your watch doing my way. Promise.

Egor B, yes you need to remove the paper that covers one side of the adhesive. You can find a proper precut adhesive on ebay. Those were not available when the video was shot. Thank you

Do not waste your money trying to fix just the glass hun. These people don’t inform you that when you buy just the glass you won’t get touch cuz it’s not programmed hun. What you should do on eBay is buy an iCloud locked watch;) take that screen n put it on yours. I do this all the time. Even these sometimes have no touch. 2 out 5 iCloud watches I bought one time had no touch once I transferred the screen. But it is possible you get it on the first one:)

I have a 38mm Series 1 that the battery got swollen, and popped off the Screen. I replaced the battery and by the time I opened and closed so many times, the two cables broke, making the screen useless. So I bought another locally. When I plugged the two cables in, I remember the touch screen working and then I powered down, to put the cover on the two cables that plug in. From then on, the watch will turn on, and show face, and by hitting the crown it will give the number pad for password, but nothing works on the touch. Cant enter the password, or slide screen up down, or sideways. No touch at all. Thought it was a bad screen, so got another, replaced by location I purchased and have the same issue. Charges and then starts up, but no TOUCH control. Even went thru that snake battery thing where it won't charge, and start, and would get hot, etc... so discharged for 2 days, and then charged now dealing with the no response to touch for password, and screen at all., Any idea? Cant try old Screen as cables were brittle and broke

I bought a new battery and replaced in my series 1 watch and cracked the original screen taking it off to change battery so I ordered new screen and actually broke it trying to get it to work. Not sure what could have gone wrong..maybe the ribbon that you connect the screen to got ripped. Sometimes the new batteries are no good. But you said you tried the original battery

I have two things to point out, this voids your warranty and the watch is not waterproof anymore, because of wrong adhesive. Also, many times the replacement screens don’t have 3D Touch, unless they are original

DatJohnnyVasvas first point, if the screen is broken, your warranty is done anyways, unless you have Apple care. The second one is somewhat right, although The Watch is not waterproof to begin with. It’s the first gen and these are only water resistant. So they are not made to be submerged under water. The third point is only true if you rip the 3D Touch sensor, which is right under the screen adhesive. You have to be careful when you remove the old adhesive, because that sensor is only a tiny flex/ribbon that goes around the perimeter. Thank you for your input

Hayden Poff thank you. The process is the same. The only thing you have to be careful with is the adhesive that holds it down. Because apparently there is a pressure sensor stuck right under it. It looks just like a strip of adhesive, but it is actually a part that is extremely easy to cut. Google "Apple Watch pressure sensor", and you'll see how it looks. Thanks again, and good luck

But a $8 heat gun on eBay. Ik the frustration your having trust me but you become a pro once you get it down but the watch should be so hot that you need a cloth to hold it hun:) then the razor you don’t want to push down a lot but want to go at a slant and wiggle right to left. You will hear a popping sound when I’ve hit the ledge that’s a good sign. Slowly keep doin it and you will start to c the razor going in. From there don’t put the razor too far in and try to look in a make sure you don’t c a black strip coming up. If you do don’t cut that try to put that part back down and go along the edges:) you’ll get it:)

DON’T EVER buy the IFIXIT screen replacement. They are trash and lack greatly in quality(colors are not sharp, unresponsive) I suggest buying an original apple screen from an old Apple Watch on ebay(runs about 40 dollars). This way you’ll have your equipment back to original quality. I’ve used ifixit 5 times and I always regret my purchase.
