Great video! I just swapped the bi-xenon’s out of my 2021 Trailhawk for the Morimoto xb. I measured out roughly twice the lux value with Morimotos. There’s lots of dark hours where I live, and I consider it money well spent.

I was one of the people who bought a few different D3S bulbs attempting to get an LED look. Your description of how they fall short is spot on which was a lesson I learned the expensive way. In my other car I was able to use GTR Lighting LEDs in place of halogens (in the fog lights of course) and the light output is positively brilliant. I have no doubt the Morimoto housings you demo here are top notch automotive lighting. They just need to be aimed properly to minimize the impact to oncoming traffic. Would you please provide a link to the plastic Rexka rivets you used to secure the wheel arch liner? I can't seem to find them using the part number on the package.

Phenomenal difference! I swapped out the halogen bulbs from the projectors on our Mazda 3 for some Morimoto H11 HID bulbs with 35W ballasts, and there is no comparison. But those LED housings are out of this world. 👍

Great and informative video. I may have missed it, but how does the LED lights handle the heavy snow. When I’ve had LED bulb replacements in the past, they wouldn’t melt the snow as it built up over the front of the headlights. Not enough heat I guess. Will these melt the snow?

I'm just looking to replace the bixenon bulbs on my JGC but watched the rest of the video because it was very well produced. The morimotos looks fantastic but I think I'll be going with just replacing both of the HID bulbs. I learned a bit from the vid. Thanks.

@@LightwerkzGlobal So I purchased the 66340XNN as a pair from your shop ready to knock out changing both even though only the driver's side failed. Took the air box out, struggled to unlock the clip that holds the lamp in there. Took me about 2 minutes but finally got it free. Sweet. Then I see why the lamp failed. The glass stalk is shattered in the housing. I guess I'm going to have to take the entire bumper off now to get the glass out! I also have a complicated MY16 65 year anniversary 5.7L trim. This 30 min job turned in to a 6 pack job.

Great Video!. So much I like about the Morimoto's Such a shame they didn't work out for me.

I mainly watched this to learn how to unclip the bumper fascia from the fender. My 2018 High Altitude has that one piece trim, similar to the one in this video, and I don't want to break something trying to get it apart. The Morimoto lights look nice but I have a MOPAR MaxCare lifetime warranty and I'm sure the dealer service department would have kittens if I ever take my car in for some type of electrical issue and they open the fuse box and see those aftermarket wires. Warranty claim denied. I'll stick with the stock OSRAM HID bulb replacements.

@LightwerkzGlobal4 ай бұрын
Wouldn't stress about it until it happens. This is how modern headlight assemblies are built. The Morimoto assemblies are similar in that aspect but they use the same products through the entire product range so we know it holds up to long term use.

Great video! My GC is factory bi-xenon, do I have to install that aditional fuse cabel to run DRL, or it is only for halogen headlights?

Yes the wiring harnesses must be ran to the terminal under the fuse box cover.

Hi, When the turn signal light is out in the front, does that make the daytime running light go out as well? Or is that an electrical issue? 2017 grand cherokee limited
@LightwerkzGlobal5 ай бұрын
Turn signal is independent of the Daytime Running Light. However you may have moisture or corossion built up on the circuit boards causing a malfunction. This causes the computer to shut down the circuit all together. You will require a new OEM assembly or you can pick up a set of these lights. Reach out to us directly for the best deal!

I guess the reason why you see higher lux reading on the right when you do your OEM HID light test, is because of the light interference from another side. Due to the shape of cut of line, your left beam test receive fewer glare from right beam but your right beam test received more glare from left beam...If you want to do a fair lux comparison, I'd suggest you to cover the other side completely, only let side you want to light on the wall.
@LightwerkzGlobal11 ай бұрын
At a distance of 25' there is not much overall with this type of beam spread. But you are correct, there is some. Bulbs, projectors, and lenses all wear differently over time. In this particular case the drivers side bulb was simply more worn out. Easy to tell with the color hue. Thanks for your feedback though. It is fair feedback and something I will consider.

Great question. I don't see why you would lose that function as its not integrated within the headlight assembly, rather by cameras / sensors that simply tell the high beams to kick on in auto mode.

Tested all HID bulbs on the driver side to retain consistency and prevent extra brightness from overlap, but then proceeds test the XBs on the passenger side with overlap 🤷
@LightwerkzGlobal11 ай бұрын
Fair point! Was not intentional. Should have tested both at the end. Sometimes you just run out of steam and clarity when you are not only the producer, but also the installer. When I get the Grand Cherokee back in the shop I will get more measurements for full clarity. There is a 5050 chance drivers side was even more intense than the passenger side. While there is overlap on the passenger side, the majority of the intensity zone is directly under the step of the cutoff. Anyhow, thanks for watching the full video and providing your feedback.
