Lovely. Sad that I just researched that aluminum can leach into water, and, unfortunately, aluminum is a neurotoxin. And paints, of course, use heavy metals for those vibrant colors. I wish decorative pots were practical for daily use.

Great work mam. Can v use medium 2 as primer/base?
@smallthingswithmoumita94445 жыл бұрын
Thanks Harsh. This medium 2 is specially made for Metallic powders. It mixes the powder to a paste form and make it waterproof once it completely dries. I'm not very sure about using it as a base/primer. You can use white acrylic colour as a base or you can use Gesso as a primer/base.

Can i paint aluminum kitchen cabinet sides with this method ....so after applying primer with type of paint i used
@smallthingswithmoumita94445 жыл бұрын
Hi Gurpreet. Yes, you can paint this way. As you are planning to paint aluminum kitchen cabinet it is better to use metal primer ( I have used left over wall primer as i made it for decoration). Then apply a coat of white acrylic paint to make it ready for painting (asian paint metal primer is maroon in colour) if necessary.

I have a brushed aluminum cooking oil keeper. I'm wanting to make it pretty. Your idea is beautiful, but I'm thinking if I use your method I won't be able to store the oil in it, even after cooling. Is that true?
@smallthingswithmoumita94445 жыл бұрын
Hi Sheilia, I think you can store oil after cooling. But make sure to colour only the outer-side of container so that oil does not come in contact with the colour. And it's better to use food safe quality primer, colour and sealer.

Hi Moumita, I tried my hand in painting a kettle with Acrylic, however, even after 2nd coat, I see brush marks... Can you suggest how can I make it smooth?
@smallthingswithmoumita94444 жыл бұрын
Hi Neha...Use a soft brush for smooth finish. I used flat brush for base coat and filling wide spaces and round and pointed tip brush for filling small ares and detailed work. And as I mentioned let the colour dry completely between coats or else brush swiped over wet paint will leave streaks.
