Just found your channel but already hooked,To prepare my fabric for hand pleating do I need to double the width of my fabric?

Hi Maryam, thank you for your kind comments. Traditional English Smocking is pleated with a 3 to 1 ratio, so usually the width of the piece would be 3 times the finished width.

I wish pleaters was cheaper coz it’s time saving for sure
