In this video we show you how to fully reupholster a footstool from start to finish. We show you each stage of the upholstery process from removing the old fabric, re-padding the footstool, cutting the new fabric and upholstering the footstool. We give you lots of alternatives on how to finish corners in upholstery and show you the technique of hand stitching or hand slipping in this video. So this is no sew upholstery - no need for a sewing machine!

11 months ago someone asked for the name of the tool you used in the video to remove the piping and maybe more. It looked like it had a wide mouth grip to it. Hi Aisha! I just use a normal loop knot at the end of the thread - I don’t tie a knot on the needle otherwise it would be really hard to get the needle through the fabric. I hope that’s of some help?
