Surprised on NVDA you did not mention the stock split and the timing in June? Especially this will affect a rebalancing in certain ETFs and Mutual funds because of the new price and the opportunity for those to buy at a cheaper price (after the split).

I don’t know. I think that’s a generalization used to give people safe advice that won’t cost them in the case of an unfortunate error. It’s totally possible to time the market, any market, not just the stock market. If you ignore the news media you can also predict what the Fed is going to do. You need to keep on 0:02 top of the financial news obviously, but be very skeptical about what they are pushing. Everyone is trying to sell you something. Some idea or some product. If you figure out what they actually want, you can react accordingly and when retail investors bite, you do the opposite. Timing the market is really the only thing that matters! Practice and see how you do. Is the Fed going to cut rates once this year? Are they going to cut at all? Why would or wouldn’t they? Forget what CNBC says, what would be the right thing to do? Keep in mind that the Fed can’t tell you what they will do in many cases because it creates a self fulfilling prophecy. If they tell you their plan you will react first (as you should). People who say that the Fed is lying or out to lunch are really missing the point. You can’t expect them to tell you anything except what they want you to know. Lately the Fed has been just using statements to manipulate the market without actually doing anything. What does that tell you?
