Or just use a 6 foot level, flip the mirror over and mark on each side of the level where the two points where the hanging loops are. Put the level on the center point of the wall so that’s it’s level, use your two marks on the 6 foot level to mark each side of the wall, insert the anchors where your marks are and hang the thing.

This sounds like a great idea, what if you are hanging two large pictures, each picture has a D-Ring, and so the level isn't long enough, what do you suggest?

The easiest way is to mark your holes like he did at the beginning and then drill on hang it on that screw and mark the other one where it looks level

Correct, they did not talk about how important it is to find the stud in the wall. You always make sure you drill the screw into the center of the stud for the best support of heavy mirrors/picture frames.

What I have done is take a thumbtack and tape it on the frame so that the point is sticking out through the top part of the D-Ring. Be sure the thumbtack is taped down very secure, this is important, you don't want it to be able to wiggle around or move out of place. This is all in the taping down technique. Place the picture or mirror on the wall, once you have it level and where you want it, press the picture into the wall, making sure the thumbtack points in each D-Ring go onto the wall. Now you have markers to install your nails or whatever you are hanging the picture on. Perfect!

If your hangers aren't attached to the mirror/picture at the same height it won't be level.

Great video! It really helped me hang something! Moreno12 (in comments) makes a great point that if the hanger loops on the frame are not level then your project won't come out level. IF you are dealing with 2 non-level hanger loops, how would you do this?

A more accurate method of levelling is not to level the painters tape because that can warp over the distance. Use the painters tape to get the points of insertion on the wall, then level those two points of insertion..not the tape..

Do not use this method! The hangers re not always leveled on the picture frame. Best thing to do is figure out where you are putting the first bolt, screw toggle, and then hang the frame from it. Measure and mark where the other bolt will be screwed on, and use the leveler on the actual picture frame to make sure it will be leveled correctly... good luck
