That stand is not securely set against the tree. Notice the top pivot pulling away from the tree when he steps onto the stand. You need to cam that stand safely to the tree. Also, should always hang a stand below your linesman belt. Should never have to detach and then attach while in the climbing position

So will just the lineman rope prevent you from hitting the ground? I use a mobile setup so a lifeline isn’t useful. I’m wondering if I should use a tethers as well as the lineman rope? I just don’t wanna fall and get hurt, heard some scary story’s. I’d appreciate the feedback.

A linemans rope will keep you from hitting the ground when climbing up and down a tree. It could work while in the stand but you would need to lengthen it and then shorten it in order to keep yourself tight enough to the tree while moving into the stand and then sitting.

*Nice stand>>>**ur2.pl/923** so far. It's my first, so don't have a comparison. But, after 2 times trying it out and hunting in the woods I think I have it down. It's light, but I got the Sherpa game cart converter and its a breeze to haul a mile. Also getting the Mollie Straps for shoulders and waist. The harness works as it should: looks like quality seatbelt material. If your on the fence about getting either an open or a closed-get the closed. You can even use the bar to shoot your rifle from if you set the top section high and just stand hunt.*

looks like a good design. Impressed as big boots in winter climbing is so damn similar to moonwalking...not a nice june morning. And you need outward spaced steps... let me see my stock broker...hhhmm

Have you seen HSS's new tree stand hanging vest? Made solely for hanging stands with several large compartments to hold your gear and stand.

I appreciate the video. I hung my fist hang on stand today and used your ideas. It went well other than the fact the bottom of my platform is only 13 to 14 feet from the ground. I feel like that's too low. not sure what went wrong. any comments?

Try spacing out your steps. Most advertise for 12-15 foot with three sections....start with your first step as high as you can reach and get your boot on....then the next piece do the same....get yourself a few extra feet up. Hope that helps and good luck this year

Hunt the correct wind and 14 feet is plenty high enough in my opinion

@@ironmen23 Depends on where you hunt. In Michigan I hunt a minimum of 25'. The deer here look up.

Try an aider on each step, will give you an extra 4.5 to 5 feet. Should put you 18 to 20 feet up
