You could press the wire onto an ink pad & then press onto the backing before placing the Wasabi. Carve out the area where the wire would sit, and then add liquid clay & backing.

Maybe wire wrap and then stick the stem in?

@tarapiglet yes! You could do it that way, like make the wrapped loop & then add it. That will only work if you're using a jump ring. Or, if you added the bail on first. Personally, either way, I prefer the 3rd method & just avoid the wire wrapping all together 😂 As you saw...it's not my best skill 🤣 Thank you so much for supporting my channel by watching & commenting ❤️
