Good eye for being away for awhile. Not tripping over cords makes it kinda look fun….

Not too bad. You used a "take off" (back) measurement when you marked the ceiling box but when you go to the stack you still pull your tape 8 or 9 feet. Instead of 3 or 4 (as an example). The collated screw gun is definitely a bonus.

How are the recesses cut for the light receptacles? Is it pre marked?
@DrywallDanny Жыл бұрын
We measure the center and mark on previous sheet or wall before hanging the sheet, after hanging the sheet we then mark it

I hate doing 5/8" on the ceiling. I work alone so I just use a lift a ladder or a screw and a catch board

It’s a clothing brand called trollcoclothing. They’ve been around for quite a while too, and at least to my knowledge longer than Adam Calhoun has been. They support blue collar, pretty sweet company check out their instagram @trollcoclothing

Ceilings should be glued too…. Also I also don’t like hanging directly to the trusses especially 2 ft. on center. Trusses should be furred down with furring laid out 16 on center. Hanging directly to trusses usually sucks unless they’ve been gauge blocked so that all your sheets land on layout correctly. If you hang ceilings where the joists are 2ft. in center, they’re going to sag over time even with 5/8 drywall. Go back to that house in 10-15 years and those ceilings will look like Lake Erie on a windy day…. wavy as f--.

When you cut it from the brown side you’re supposed to reach over and scored on the white side to snap it off not flag it can you stick your knife in there on the Brown side make that final cut your flag in the corner on the face paper shouldn’t be doing that
@clifflong7944 Жыл бұрын
Long as your blade is sharp and you only score the paper you get a fairly clean break. You can tell this guy’s a pro and hung thousands of sheets.

I quit watching after the first 5 mins. Anyone that has ever worked above their head know that a chalkline is a must. It is near impossible to keep a straight line above your head. So you will always have extra holes to patch without a chalk line or some other way to keep your screw lines straight.
