@@GadgetLover360 I followed perfectly, along with all the other methods I have found. Even Samsung themselves couldn't help and gave the wrong instructions. The only way I was able to do it was by connecting my phone to my laptop with the USB C lead (as you say) and holding Volume Up and Power key with the phone off. Maybe some of the devices are different to others as your method worked on my friends a52? Who knows!
