yes however if you use samsung account and have the imei number on your account you can still track lock and erase the phone there is no way for them to bypass samsung with out some one at samsung helping them

I'm guessing this doesn't actually fully erase all of the data, just erases file locations like on a hard drive. But since this is just a RAM type memory, maybe it can just quickly fully format it. Not sure, though, do you know?
