my galaxy reboots on the loading screen logo. why??

I kept having that problem but I persevered and eventually got to the recovery menu. I think I was holding the buttons too long. I had both a Samsung splash screen and then the splash screen with the model details. I tried releasing as soon as I saw just the first Samsung logo and it worked. Hope this helps someone!
