I reset my OWN phone and the thing won't let me log in to MY OWN google account to get through Setup. It will let me completely reset my password without any verification of my identity, security question, prompting me via e-mail that my password has been changed, etc. BUT it will not let me get through the setup and access my own fucking phone. Apparently this has been happening to people for years. I want to know who's decision it was to completely ignore customer feedback regarding a feature that's so horrendously broken.

Well FUCK, I had a bootloop after an update, and I fucking flashed my phone with a different stock rom ... first time because I did not do a full wipe it did not even work. Then it asked me for my google account .. of course I fucking forgot the password so I though, mwah so what I'll just change it .. so I change my password and come back to log in ... IT FUCKING TELLS ME TO WAIT FOR 24 FUCKING HOURS

I bought Samsung smart phone Note 5 Model No SM-N920G 64 GB from India. I came to china 15 days and 2 days before i got a firmware notification update. I updated the phone and after that i start facing many problem. Mobile gets freeze, some app don’t work etc. So i did the factory reset. After doing i am not able to start the phone. The problem is google is band in china, so when i start the phone after selecting the language it start to connect with google play. It shows connecting to server but doesn’t connect. Due to this i tired to start the phone by making no wifi connectivity and with no simcard. Now there is no simcard in the phone, still its show the network and i can’t go beyond and use. There is the next button but as network appears without simcard i cannot press it or touch it. I went to samsung customer centre, they say my phone dont have chinese language, so they cant do anything. I am not able to pass when its shows " Connection Checking" Please try to help me to overcome from this problem.

Not someone else's phone my mother just bought this Samsung galaxy Luna from Kroger and it won't let her into phone due to google account authentication which she has never had an account till I started her one just yesterday but still won't get past this google crap. She took it back to Kroger with receipt and everything but for some reason they won't take it back because of some USB code or something isn't on the package or something like that I guess?? Guess I'm gonna go up there and raise hell I guess since nobody can't help to get past this stupid google crap. This is one of the reasons I will never own a Samsung. Only apple for me, never have any problems. Problems are non stop with Samsung.

in the fine print it probably states you don't actually own the device you just use it under license or something LOL... even if you pay for it outright... doesn't even feel like your phone... I have a Mint Samsung s7... don't even use it.. can't root the fucken thing... I just wanted tasker to work... it's not my fault the operating system is like a fischer price noob phone.. daylight robbery this phone stuff... run the other way... rip out your old nokia and use that... they just track your location and sell all of the lucrative data you produce with the device... using these things just digs us deeper into a hole.

Ronald Nool apparently you have to wait three days with ur phone OFF and then you'll be able to log in. i have the same exact problem and i saw this answer. i love samsung, but come on, this is annoying

so i have a SM-J320vpp running stock firmware and stock recovery. it was factory reset and then sold to me and i cant reach the seller. i have tried the OTG trick and i get no pop ups, i have tried the Realterm phone call pop up, using the copy a text and scanning to the @ symbol and it doesnt go to search. everything says its blocked due to security reasons. there has to be a way around this stupid thing! i have even flashed new firmware through odin and have gotten nothing. someone please help me!!

Hi I have two phones from verizon " Samsung s6 edge plus's" Both phones work here in the middle east at least until last night both phones stopped being able to connect to the wife at home or anywhere else and because of the APN lock set by them they don't have internet through the mobile network as well, so i first deleted all the cache data thinking it might fix the issue but i didn't so i went and did a factory rest on both phones and hoped it might work but it didn't and now they wont finish the set up wizard thing because of the " abnormal factory rest i did " CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME UNLOCK MY PHONES AND DELETE THE APN LOCK THEY HAVE ON THEM I ALSO have an S5 as well with the same issue I NEED HELP ASAP

Hold volume down and power until the device reboots. you can also boot into recovery mode then choose power down from the menu
