I like that you didn't overreact about the kids killing the bushes. You didn't say this but I know it was in your mind. You would rather have them mess up a few things in the yard because they were playing outside instead of on their butts playing video games.

This is exactly how I grew up my Dad had a lawn care service and from 8-25 I did lawn service, we sold out and now own a Toro dealership in Mississippi I love your videos and how you work your kids reminds me of my Dad and they are very fond memories. Dad made hustlers of me and my brother and it makes me happy to see people still do that with their kids. I’m now 32 with kids of my own and this is exactly how I do my son. He’s 3 but he loves to work with Dad when baby girl gets old enough she’ll get some herself. Keep up the amazing work man! On a side not any ideas on how to get fescue to grow down here in south Mississippi, any known hybrids that will grow in the heat. Like I said earlier love your work!

Insane amount of hard work, attention to detail, and nurturing on full display with this yard/property! Your amount of pride and dedication shows vividly through every portion of your property. I've never seen turf/landscaping/bedding/curb appeal/landscape design/property lines... All look this brilliant at one address, EVER. So breath-taking that it actually looks computer enhanced during the ending's drone shots! But yet the landscaping artistry still wasn't the best part of the video...that belonged to your parenting & patience with your young ones. The general idea of passing down knowledge & wisdom becomes more obsolete generation after generation. Beautiful thing to witness, the teaching of morals/values/ ethics/responsibility/character/ appreciation/ and by far the most important thing... Anti-entitlement!

Your video says how to have a wonderful lawn, but you talked mainly about the beds. By your accent, I guess you live in the Carolina's so maybe your winters are not too bad. Here in Canada we have pretty harsh winters which take its toll on the grass. I would love more information about how you get your lawn to look so good. I have a rural property and know from the size of your property you spend a lot of time on your lawns and they really do show it they are so lush. Do you have a video where you explain how you feed and maintain your lawn. Thanks

Pete, I really like that pine needle look, unfortunately here in Ontario Canada we're somewhat limited with what we have to use for beds like that.. I do use some mulch around the yard but the wind really kicks it around in certain areas and makes a huge mess.. I've started to use a lot more river rock etc, with armor stone edging in those problem areas where the mulch used to blow. Still looks awesome and makes for very easy maintenance. Gotta throw it out there too, getting your kids involved like that is excellent.. I remember being a kid on our farm and helping out with the chores etc. I wouldn't trade those experiences or early mornings for anything these days. You grow up to have a lot of respect, patience, and knowledge through all of that... those things are invaluable these day in my opinion, more kids need to be brought up like that instead of in front of the TV or a video game 24/7. Anyways, 1 quick question, maybe you can incorporate it into a video? how do you go about re-edging your beds with a string trimmer or stick edger now once you have them all finished... without making a huge mess of your pine needles by throwing grass etc back onto them or throwing the pine needles all over the grass??. Cheers from Ontario Canada, keep up the great work on these videos!.

The aerial shots at the end show how much you are dominating your neighborhood. I would think that, if they could not do it themselves, they would hire you to take care of their lawn/property. Very nice job, Pete! A few videos ago you were helping your next door neighbor and spraying part of their lawn that was up against your lawn. Maybe I missed it, but is there any update on your neighbor's lawn yet?
