Hello psych2go, could you make a video of how to maintain a relationship from a distance? I and my crush live a bit far away, but we talk every day and do things together and we want to meet in person, but we still have to comunicate from chat or video chat. I would be very grateful if you would make a video on that topic, and I hope to have a good relationship with her. Thank You Psych2go if u readed this, peace! ♥️

"Stop, breathe, and think about what you're thinking about" this sentence actually hit me. I'm an overthinker and I know that I tend to overthinking things, and it hurts that your brain keep on showing you the worst case scenario and whatever the outcome is. I think I should try this

Not only this but it get especially bad when I starting doubting my own overthinking and whether if it's simply that or my thought, although sporadic, is actually based and truthful. It's like I'm playing mind games with myself and it's extremely exhausting being on this constant twisting and winding train of though that can loop and split into new paths.

Its okay not to know what your porpuse is yet, life is about the thing you do with it, the big and small moments. Look, according to christianity, God has s purpose for you, an extraordinary one, every day you have big and small missions that counts on your life and in other lifes. Your mission, as human, and from your perspective is to fulfill your dreams, your goals, do what makes you happy, what makes you smile, what makes you feel complete, enjoy everyday, take care of you, love, fall in love with yourself and with those pleasing moments, Relax, just vibe with it and have fun, you doing alright

About the love part, calm down, love will come, it will find you when you least expect and if you like someone, take a risk, ask them out, talk, life is preparing you for your great love, do not worry, you will find someone who I love you for who you are, calm down. it takes time, but do not rush, enjoy yourself before, learn, travel, know, experience. Once I can get over this mental hurdle of not feeling awkward expressing positive emotions physically (jumping around, smiling, being more expressive generally) I think I'll feel a lot better about myself. It's been a hard hurdle to try and work at but I'm trying at least. I've finally gotten scheduled with a counselor at college after trying all semester, and even if it's the final week it's still a step. Appreciate these videos helping me figure out how to process my inner thoughts a bit.

At the start of this year I was given a pay raise to work the night shift. Needless to say the pay was awesome but working all alone for eight hours a day seriously takes a toll on your mental health. Took me five months to get used to it and to fix my mental health it took me almost 3 months of counseling. I can confidently say I’m in a better headspace now than I’ve been in a long time.

Oh, I perfectly relate and understand very well what you are talking about! It's my life's story... : ( I am experiencing that kind of pattern repeatedly; every time I get motivated by something and set out to make some improvement in my life, suddenly all sorts of things start to go wrong and get in the way, despite my best and repeated efforts... And it just leads to dead ends... Which inevitably gets me disheartened, desperate, frustrated and bitter beyond words. And eventually I give up. What can you do when you experience failure after failure, disappointment after disappointment... Time and again for years and years. : ( Absolutely nothing ever works out...!!.. . . Though, still I like watching videos like these.

Honestly, my biggest problem is that I love music, singing and my parents dont allow me to practice and hence i am not getting better. Being a teenager i should already be good at it as i want to do my career in it but my parents think i am doing something super unproductive. like the minute they hear me sing or play the piano they just ask me to stop and tell me to study. I am tired and i feel like even if i am alive theres no me in me and i cannot express myself (my self esteem is super low), take music classes or even try and practice. when i fight for myself and do what i want to, i feel guilty that i am very bossy or a bad daughter. I am really good at studies without even trying but i am passionate for music. IDK what to do

I'm scared for my exams and I always think that I might fail and make my mom disappointed so there's this feeling of guilt always clinged onto my heart whenever I am not in front of my books studying. I try to console myself by saying that it's okay. My grades don't matter and I can be successful even if I am not the best in my school or my mom. I just need to work hard but not overwork my and I should start taking care of my health and forget the people around me who tend to scare me by filling me up with toxic words and thoughts and just be myself and do whatever I want. I love myself, and I don't want to see any of my loved ones in pain. I should focus more on my own problems rather than ignoring them and covering them up. I am brave enough to face my fears and defeat them. After all, I'm the protagonist of my story who, in the end, would be happy if they choose to be. And I choose to be happy rather than a sad fellow.

I’ve been having a lot of self doubt for the past several months, and it’s made me feel like I’ve been losing myself, though with the help of therapy I’m trying to move on despite anxiety’s web of lies. Your video- especially the study on how 85% of our worries never happen- made me feel much better and helped me move two more steps forward. Thank you so much 😊 ❤️. Have a wonderful day

@@Contemptuously I’m sorry about that. Though, you just made me realize a good point, we never really lose ourselves (our strengths and who we want to continue to be) unless we say we do. It’s something that’s always with us and ready to be found again at any moment- like a lost childhood item or a set of our favorite series dvds (to be gained again little by little). And we can always create who we want to become if we don’t have it already, little by little too- even if it doesn’t feel like much progress is being made. You never know how much a plant is really growing until you look back at where it once was and when it grows one flower or a new leaf- it’s the most beautiful of all and there’s many more to come.

@@lynsimations6157 Once, all the way up to 6th grade, I used to be this great person who was (almost) always happy with life, no matter what. Ever since 7th grade, though, I started to develop social anxiety and a really big insecurity. However, it wasn't that bad, because I still said "here" while the teacher or whoever it was called role, even though it pained me to do so. When I was in 8th grade, my social anxiety got much worse than it once was, though some of my insecurities went away. I didn't talk basically at all to any of the students in my classrooms. As of 9th grade which I am in now, I am still trying to fight it off subconsciously and some of my insecurities that I once had I feel like are coming back slowly, trickling up my back until it eats me alive. I can't see it anymore. Might as well say the good days are long gone. Edit: By "it", I mean my childhood or the good days.
@lynsimations6157
@lynsimations6157 2 жыл бұрын
@@Contemptuously That does really stink. Anxiety is a terrible trickster with clever and adaptable tactics. My advice would be to keep fighting off the anxiety, because anxiety’s weakness is discomfort. And for when you feel anxious but free to do whatever you want, especially if you took a step out of your comfort zone and need to calm down, do something that makes you happy and engages you- play a new game or relearn an old one, learn a new sport, think of a happy place (even if it’s imaginary) or something to look forward too (a new game releasing) read a lighthearted book (as far as types of books like that that I know of, I’d recommend The Moomins or Kiki’s Delivery Service or Howls Moving Castle, try painting and poetry writing in a private journal- even if you don’t feel you’re good at it at first, just do it if you wanted to-, whatever you feel like will help you let go of the anxiety and move forward with defeating it again and again. That way your mind stays out of your head and you feel like more than just your anxiety- because I know that’s what you are. I’d also recommend trying to look for a therapist and looking for help from a professional if you can. You’re bound to find one or more that encourages you and lifts you up through this. Even if the good days are gone too, remind yourself that they will be replaced by greater days- ones that can even be better than you ever could have imagined. Maybe they won’t come now, or tomorrow, or a week, month or year from now- but they will so don’t rely on saying nothing will ever be good again. This isn’t to say you can’t be sad about it every now and again- crying your eyes out in anger and sadness (and rehydrating after of course)- but always remember to take fighting anxiety and giving yourself the life you deserve one step at a time the next day. Do your best to live, do things that bring you joy and fight your anxiety one step at a time. Anxiety may never truly go away, but we can overcome it or start to gain the advantage over anxiety again and again. You’re worth it and I know you can show your anxiety who’s boss- even if only in the smallest ways.

I’ve been like this for over 3 years now & it doesn’t seem to be getting better, only worse. I have to be useless basically to actually feel good, anything that requires skill, practice, patience, etc will make me feel worse because I’m failing over & over, no sign of getting better & people making fun of me. It’s lead to me to being negative all the time & I can’t control it. Also have a massive hatred towards people for being better than me for the reason I left above This all begun from 1 self doubt thought...

I love this videos so dearly. The artist and vocalist are VERY GOOD at their jobs and for some reason really fit together. To put it simpler, The art seems to just match with the voice and that’s what makes this channel so different from any other normal health channel. The others just seem boring like science class but this channel is one hell of a channel.

Im overcoming my sadness too! but heres some tips for anyone who needs them : draw your flipping heart out, it helps (this totes works for me so maybe give it a try)😊 Try sleeping at any time earlier than AM, reaching a new goal always helps you feel accomplished 😁 sleep with stuffies (Stuffed animals/toys) this doesnt work with everyone but its a recommendation, it makes me feel safe and having someone to hold on to even if its filled with stuffing😅 Talk to yourself, have a funny 1-way conversation with yourself, maybe avoid saying ''i can do this, or i am strong'' or those motivational words😅,they can stress you out even more, instead , try thinking of how your gonna do something, if its something as big as winning nationals, or as small as talking to your crush, thinking about it totally helps👍 take all the alone time you need,even if it cost your friendship, if you want to be alone and someone keeps bugging you even after you declined, turn your phone off, ignore them for the time you need, you should be YOUR priority, and shouldnt go out or think of yourself as selfish because you need alone time😃 if they were your friend they would understand. lastly , cry when you need to, let it all out, it feels great letting it all out, your not an ugly crier, it shouldnt be embarrassing crying.o(≧o≦)o Hope this helps ✌️

I have been having a VERY difficult time over roughly the last month or two due to being homeless. Been living between a motel and a car with my two polyamorous partners. This has increased my stress levels to the point where I've been having NON-epileptic seizures almost daily. It's strained, but not ended, our relationship and I am currently separated from them for a short time while they find us a place to live and I set up mental health support. I'm about 90% sure I know what the issues are, so I'm very confident I can improve my mental health quite a bit and this video has helped me IMMENSELY. Thank you SO MUCH for posting it!

I have a family and friends that im close with, although i have no one i can talk to about my personal feelings and problem. It's because of my trust issue and my negative thoughts about what they think about it and me, and that thought is too much for me to handle that i comfort myself by playing games, watching youtube/anime. It's just that they take me to another world where it makes me somehow forget about those Negative thoughts i have. (It's a repetitive one)

Hey there... It's definitely not easy to talk to other people about our feelings. It takes a lot of courage to finally be able to talk to others about them. But bottling up the emotions all the time doesn't make it easier, to be honest. Because it gets heavier with time and I don't want you to struggle alone. Please remember that I'm always here to listen to you if you ever need to talk to someone. Treat yourself kindly ❤️

I love this videos. I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety a year ago. I’ve been with medication since that, but I can say that, along the med, what really help me is going to therapy, doing meditaton every day, exercise, being in the nature, eating healthy and take a shower every day no matter what. Now, one year later, I can say that my life have really changed. And even some days are better than others, I can finally say that I started to live and not to survive. Ps. Sorry if I’ve made some mistakes in the writing, English is not my first language.

Something that I wrote to help. With God ALL things are possible. When you are down in the dumps and you said you can’t do it. Think again. Rise to the impossible because God said it’s possible. Don’t be afraid of the outcome let that outcome be afraid of you. Push fall rise, push, fall, and rise again. It’s a process you gotta do to make the impossible. Possible. All you gotta do is believe in yourself. Matter a fact, look around you what the possible can do. WITH GOD ALLLL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. We all got this. Let’s be better and happier together!! Let’s celebrate our small accomplishments in life. YAYYY!!❤️❤️🥰 Yes, you may have messed up today but there’s a better tomorrow!! WE CAN DO THIS. This video also helped me a lot thank you!!!🥰🥰

Life's a rollercoaster -- it has its ups and downs, its fast parts and its slow parts -- its not really crashing, it just feels like it. It'll keep going if you let it. Try to advocate for yourself. Every single time you have a bad thought, try and logically persuade yourself that it's wrong, and tell yourself the better side of things. That way, you can't have more bad thoughts than good thoughts. For the record, I am not a therapist, but I hope this helps!
