I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (July 11), this was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "The Power of the Gospel." The hymn, "Rise, Shine, You People!," written by Ronald A. Klug, is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination.

I preach from the English Standard Version (ESV). All of my study is in the original languages (Greek and Hebrew), but during the preaching I use the English Standard Version.
